Li, whose real name is Cedar, was born in Longshan, Gansu,1June 1957. He was born in Lingtai, Gansu, with a university degree. Worked in party member in June 1976+0 1. He used to be the head of discipline inspection of Lingtai County Local Taxation Bureau, and now he is the chairman of Lingtai County Book Association.

His works have been selected into the third exhibition of calligraphy and seal cutting for young and middle-aged people in Gansu Province, the exhibition of calligraphy and seal cutting for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the National Day in Gansu Province, and the exhibition of calligraphy and seal cutting for the new century in Gansu Province. His calligraphy works won the first prize, and he participated in the National Calligraphy Competition of China Calligraphy Association to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the National Day, and won the gold medal. His works are included in the Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy of Contemporary Artists.

Now he is a member of Gansu Book Association and a director of Pingliang Book Association.
