Award winning history

The Macao International Film Festival was founded in 2009 by the Macao Film and Television Media Association, and it is the only international film festival granted a registered trademark by the Macao government. It is held once a year in Macau from 65438 to February, without interruption.

By the end of 2022, it has successfully held 14 sessions, which is the oldest, most authoritative and most professional international film festival in Macao. Together with Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Hong Kong Film Awards and Taiwan Film Golden Horse Awards, it is also known as the five major international film and television cultural events in China.

By bringing together international film (TV, animation) producers, investors, international film and television stars, political and business celebrities, we can mobilize the public's enthusiasm for participation. Through colorful film screening, various supporting media, local tourism resources and entertainment elements, we will strive to build a film carnival in which filmmakers from all over the world and the general public participate.
