Who told me about the waterscape design of the National Grand Theatre! ! !
In paul andreu's view, the National Centre for the Performing Arts wants to express its inner vitality, which is a kind of inner vitality under the cover of external tranquility. When people call it "eggshell", he thinks it is more appropriate. Because a simple eggshell is pregnant with life. Moreover, compared with a real egg, the shell of the Grand Theatre is not completely closed, and it shows an open consciousness, just like an egg that has cracked and is about to be opened. So the soul of paul andreu's design is: shell, life and openness.
Upon completion, the National Grand Theatre will become the highest art performance center in China, with a total construction area of about 6,543.8+0.8 million square meters, including the main building of about 6,543.8+0.3 million square meters and underground ancillary facilities of about 50,000 square meters. In order to meet the needs of various artistic performances, the National Grand Theatre consists of opera house, concert hall, theater, small theater and corresponding supporting facilities, which can accommodate nearly 5,500 spectators.
According to experts, the National Centre for the Performing Arts has the following three highlights:
Highlight 1: The dome roof is not supported by columns. The roof of the Grand Theatre is a semi-elliptical dome, like an inverted "eggshell". Its internal skeleton is welded steel structure, with the east-west axis span of 212m, the north-south axis span of144m and the length of more than 6,000m. Its area is large enough to cover the entire Beijing Workers Stadium, with a total weight of 6,750 tons, the highest in the country. After completion, the whole structure is no longer supported by columns, but by curved steel beams.
Highlight 2: Glass curtain wall perspective strip. The ellipsoidal roof of the National Grand Theatre consists of more than 20,000 titanium plates and 1200 colored glasses of different sizes. The part of the ellipsoid facing Chang 'an Avenue is a gradually opening glass curtain wall, which is shaped like a drop of water hanging down gradually. In the evening, pedestrians and passengers traveling to and from Chang 'an Avenue can enjoy the magnificent audience lounge of the National Grand Theatre through the crystal clear glass curtain wall, and the audience who enter the Grand Theatre can also enjoy the endless flow of traffic and people on Chang 'an Avenue from the theater.
Highlight 3: The open-air swimming pool ripples all the year round. After completion, the National Grand Theatre will be placed in a rippling pool, making the whole building seem to float on the water, and pedestrians need to enter the performance hall from an 80-meter-long underwater passage. Both sides of the passage are planned as art museums and art shopping centers. When people walk into the opera house, it seems that they have entered a wonderful art world. In order to prevent the audience from being too abrupt when entering, the designer also planned and designed a long passage, in which the audience walked as if they had entered a dreamland separated from the real world by water.
After the National Grand Theatre is completed, it will be surrounded by a rippling pool, and the soft metal shell will be set off by lights at night, which will complement the sparkling water. The scenery is spectacular and imaginative. In order to ensure that the water in the pool will not freeze in winter and algae will not grow in summer, the National Grand Theatre will adopt a central liquid cold and heat source environmental system to solve the problem of controlling the relative temperature of water features. This system skillfully uses "geothermal" resources. By pumping warm groundwater and exchanging heat with the water in the pool, the water temperature of the open-air giant pool is always controlled above zero.
