Children of Bayao-Take the sea as the land and live the passion of life.

Today I share a picture book with you, which is also one of my sister's favorite pictures recently. Dad visited the museum for the first time, and my sister nominated and recommended this picture book-"Children of Bayao People".

Bayao means "people at sea". Bayao people are a mysterious people. They have lived in small houses by the sea for generations. Their identity is not recognized and they have no nationality, so they can't go ashore and their children can't go to school.

God gave the Bayao people the poorest life and the most beautiful sea view. God gave them the simplest wooden house and the calmest sea, so that they could make their home at sea.

In order to shoot a scene, Mr. Peng squatted in the sea for two or three hours with his camera. In order to use a word well, he repeatedly consulted with the editor. It is such a 60-year-old writer, with great love for children, carefully selected tens of thousands of photos, for nothing but to be a gatekeeper for children's reading!

Reading such a beautiful book to children opens their eyes, horizons and hearts. They not only saw the beauty of the ocean, learned about the fun of foreign cultures, but also felt the simple happiness of childhood. Finally, they may inspire optimism of "love life and cherish life".

When I was sorting out books in the library, I accidentally read a sentence "Ba Yao people", and my sister insisted that I take it down and show it to her. Perhaps children are interested in the mysterious name "Bayao people" from the beginning.

Similarly, the water princess we have seen before has been seen many times in our house and discussed for many days. Such a beautiful classic and unusual book is well worth reading. Feel it with your heart, and it will leave a beautiful memory in our hearts like the sun shining on the sea.
