Appreciation of Du Mu's Three Poems of Passing through the Qing Palace.
"Chang' an looks back at the embroidered pile, and the top of the mountain opens a thousand times. "The first two sentences of the poem say that looking back at Mount Li in Chang 'an is like piles of splendid scenery. On the top of the mountain, thousands of doors of Huaqing Palace opened in turn.
The first sentence describes the scenery of Mount Li where Huaqing Palace is located. The poet wrote from the perspective of "looking back" in Chang 'an, showing a broad and far-reaching panorama of Mount Li: lush trees, lush flowers and plants, and palaces and pavilions like a beautiful group. "Rust pile" not only refers to Dongxiuling and Xixiuling on both sides of Mount Li, but also describes the beauty of Mount Li. Then, the magnificent palace on the top of the mountain was displayed, and the normally closed palace doors suddenly opened slowly.
"Riding the world of mortals and laughing, who knows that it is litchi." The last two sentences of the poem say that as soon as a horse gallops, the dust rolls and the princess smiles, no one knows that the south has sent litchi fresh fruit.
The third sentence is written outside the palace, a messenger riding a horse, flying fast, raising clouds of red dust behind him; In the palace, the princess smiled. Why did the "front door" open, why did the "riding horse" come, and why did the "concubine" laugh? Until the end, implicitly and tactfully revealed the answer that "no one knows it is litchi". "Litchi" tells the whole story.
Du Mu's poems did not say that Xuanzong was dissolute and lustful, and the imperial concubine was arrogant and domineering, but the images of "galloping in the world of mortals" and "the princess laughing" formed a sharp contrast, exposing the absurdity that feudal emperors spared no effort to please the imperial concubine, echoing the unusual atmosphere rendered earlier. This poem expresses the author's great indignation at the supreme ruler whose power is extravagant and unrestrained.
Du Mu s Poem of Crossing the Qing Palace in Tang Dynasty Part I;
Looking back at Chang 'an, Mount Li is like a pile of splendid scenery, and the gates of Huaqing Palace on the top of the mountain are opened in turn. As soon as I rode on the smile of smoke and smoke, no one knew that the fresh fruit litchi was sent from the south.
Translation:

Creation background
This group of poems "Three Poems Crossing Huaqing Palace" was written by Du Mu when he passed through Huaqing Palace in Lishan Mountain. Huaqing Palace was built in the 11th year of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (723), where Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei had fun. Many poets in later generations have written poems about Huaqing Palace, among which Du Mu's Three Poems Crossing Huaqing Palace is one of the representative works.
Poetry allusions
"Riding the world of mortals and laughing, who knows that it is litchi." The concubine here is Yang Guifei, who loves litchi in Lingnan, and once had the reputation of "300 lychees a day".
As the king of a country, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty doted on Yang Guifei and always tried his best to meet her requirements. Yang Guifei wants to eat fresh litchi, but the fairy is thousands of miles away from Lingnan, and the fastest express post office will take three days to arrive, so the litchi that Yang Guifei eats is not so fresh.
Because Tang Xuanzong loved Yang Guifei, he naturally tried his best to satisfy her preferences. Eat litchi, eat fresh litchi. In order to keep fresh, freshly picked litchi must be delivered by courier. On the whole road, the atmosphere was terrible. There are post stations and observation decks every five or ten miles, and the post attendants and the public are waiting nervously. Some people looked out into the distance, and some people repeatedly checked the saddle for horses.
Suddenly, at the end of the road, there was a louder and louder sound of hooves, and the post horse came! Almost everyone's hair stood on end in the post station. They clenched their fists and swallowed their saliva, as nervous as welcoming royalty. The flying dust raised by the post horse has not yet fallen, and the citizens have acted quickly.
The horse that was ready to sail was led out, and a worker who was full of food and drink fastened his belt. He was holding a tightly wrapped bamboo tube, and the postman next to him quickly tied it on his back. The tape has not been fully fastened, and the postman has been shouting and urging anxiously. The worker quickly grabbed the reins, mounted the horse and whipped away.
The steed continued to gallop on the winding mountain road, and the people who fell dead in the potholes on the roadside overlapped with those in the valley. People who don't even know a word in the mountains know that it is the litchi that the princess wants to eat! When I arrived in Chang 'an, the litchi was still green, and the fruit seemed to have just been picked from the tree.
The post officer arrived with lychee on his back, and the gates of Chang 'an were opened in turn. All the guards had to wait on the imperial concubine to eat lychee.
It can be seen that the rulers of the late Tang Dynasty were so dissolute and heartless, loving beauty and not patriotism, and even less loving society, loving the people, being in a coma, and the rebellion of An Shi was a good example. Many scholars in history attributed the Anshi Rebellion to the debauchery of Xuanzong in Tang Dynasty, and even more pointed out that Yang Guifei was the bane of Anshi Rebellion.
