Why not let my son take the civil service exam?
Today's civil service exam is called the first exam in China, and its tragic degree even exceeds the college entrance examination, becoming a veritable "national exam". To tell the truth, I was one of the first people to take the national examination in China, so I stumbled into the state organs by mistake. The reason why it is wrong is because the civil service examination was still a small-scale pilot, and there were fewer state organs participating in the pilot, and the registration conditions were limited (graduate schools also had requirements, unlike any school now). It was an era when the population of one billion fell to 900 million, and going to sea was everyone's top priority. It seems that few civil servants are involved. I remember that when I signed up, the scene was not lively and very deserted. It seems that I have taken an examination of current affairs, politics, English and writing. At that time, I reported to the Information Office of the General Office of the Ministry and entered the interview with the second total score. In fact, someone greeted me at that time, but fortunately, the threshold was relatively high and the exam was too high, so I was selected. This is also a very important part of my life experience, that is, in China, there are policies at the top and countermeasures at the bottom. If there is no one in court, you must be good enough. By rights, I should know more about the rights and wrongs of China officialdom than many parents. In the face of the amazing national examination with high heat, why do I resolutely oppose my son's examination of civil servants? To be sure, my son was never allowed to take the civil service exam because I know the past life of China officialdom too well. I once said that I would rather he was a "mediocre" but happy person abroad. I don't need to say more about the right and wrong of officialdom, and everyone knows the reasons for its formation. I'll just tell you a few things I've encountered recently, and throw cold water on those parents who are enthusiastic about the national examination but have no background. Last year, I went to Hunan on business. A male compatriot I used to contact often seems to be a different person. He is very depressed and has no enthusiasm for his work. For emotional reasons, I don't have the courage to ask directly. I vaguely think it should be related to his promotion, because several colleagues who work with him have been promoted. After returning to Beijing, we found that everything related to the work in this province was seriously lagging behind. Considering the objective environment of China, we are all well-intentioned (in fact, we can find his head completely) and we have not blamed him too much. We basically understand, but it does affect our work. Later, through the curve to save the country, I found that there was a post competition in his provincial office. According to the conditions, he should be promoted to the place class. However, the result was unexpected. The other two sisters in the same office with him, one is a real role (leader) and the other is a virtual role, both at the department level. Very different from state organs, it is still difficult for local organs to reach the department level, because there are few posts, just like county-level governments to reach the department level. These two sisters in their early thirties are backed by their families. Both parents are heads of government departments, and one of them is a deputy provincial level. This male compatriot has been running for five years and is still a section chief. It is understandable that he is not enthusiastic about his work and unfair to him, but more helpless. When I was on a business trip in northern Shaanxi, I heard from the local people that many of the second generation there were government civil servants who all drove Land Rover to work. Compared with the expensive gas money, that salary is really childish. I didn't have a chance to know how the rich second generation became a civil servant, but I saw an official second generation. When I was at the airport, I was introduced. It's some director. It seems that he is not yet 30 years old. I didn't remember the young man at first because there were many people with me. When everyone takes a group photo, he will take a group photo for everyone. Seeing that the camera he took was very high-end, but the action was very unskilled, and the place where the photo was arranged was still backlit, I also asked if this backlight was ok. A local next to him immediately said, no problem, he is an expert. It was not until a photographer next to him said that it was not possible to shoot in reverse light that he said to change the direction, and everyone changed the direction to shoot again. Along the way, I found that no matter what the young man did, no matter how inappropriate, the locals were more tolerant and sheltered. Before he left, it turned out that the young man's father was the director of a local bureau Otherwise, he can't be a section chief, which is the lifelong pursuit of county-level civil servants. A friend from Zhejiang went to Beijing to do business the other day. When chatting, he talked about some work-related things. He complained bluntly that his current job was not good and he couldn't go on. A young girl newly recruited in their office is a rich second generation with more than 30 houses at home. She just wants to have an iron rice bowl when she takes the civil service exam. As for her job performance or promotion, she has no interest at all, and of course she is not interested in her job. Therefore, she can't count on anything. It can be concluded that the current organs are either rich or expensive, and of course there are demobilized soldiers. Think about the rest for yourself. Can I let my son go under such circumstances?
