Mianyang Teachers' College is located in China Science and Technology City ——Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, is a full-time general undergraduate college in Sichuan Province, a university in Sichuan Province’s free teacher training program, and was selected into the Sichuan Province Excellent Teacher Education and Training Program.

The school was formerly known as Sichuan Mianyang School founded in 1940. In 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Mianyang Normal College merged with the Mianyang Branch of Sichuan Institute of Education and changed its name.
