Red leaves are going "crazy" again. Let's punch in.

The white dew has passed, and the autumn wind is cool. The annual "crazy" season of red leaves is coming.

China has a vast territory, with a latitude of nearly 50 degrees from north to south and a longitude of more than 60 degrees from east to west. Because of the different climate, the "crazy" season of red leaves is not consistent.

Take this time as an example. In Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia in the northernmost part of China, some places are covered with forests. The red leaves, which are also located in the northeast, Shenyang and surrounding areas, have not yet emerged. It will take at least ten days and a half for the red leaves here to really "grow wildly". As for further south, autumn comes later, and the red leaves will be "crazy" for more than two months. 20 19 12 I went to Suzhou humble administrator's garden in early February, just in time for the red leaves to fill the garden and took many photos. Shenyang in June+February, 5438, is already a world of ice and snow.

To shoot red leaves, you must first shoot at the peak of the red leaves. Therefore, finding the right time is the first step. Every year in late September, the surrounding areas of Shenyang, including Benxi, Fushun, Liaoyang, Tieling, Dandong and other places farther away, enter the "peak season" of red leaves one after another. At this time, I will be ready to shoot. Tidy up the equipment, get ready for the shooting strategy, make an appointment with friends for three to five days, and set off at the right time. If you miss this village, there will be no shop. After1October 10, the red leaves will wither gradually. At that time, there were only two ways to shoot red leaves, one was to go to the south, and the other was to wait until next year.

Selection of shooting location. Although there are no mountains in Shenyang, there are not many places to see and shoot red leaves, the back garden in Shenyang is big enough and close enough. Benxi, Fushun, Liaoyang and Tieling, known as the back garden of Shenyang, are about two hours away from Shenyang and more than half an hour. Generally, you can drive to the ravine with lush red leaves, which can be reached within two hours by car.

In recent years, because of the rise of tourism, every hill and valley in these places has been developed into a scenic spot. There are tickets and free tickets. Comparatively speaking, the scenic spots or attractions that collect tickets are generally large in scale, with high mountains and deep valleys, deep trees and dense forests, and are well developed and built. Relatively speaking, those scenic spots or scenic spots that are free are often small in scale, and tourists spend less time watching and shooting, and there are fewer points to punch in.

For photographers, shooting in developed scenic spots is a better choice, because the locations available for shooting in these scenic spots are relatively concentrated, which is easier for photographers to grasp. And the roads are better, and the shooting process will be safer.

This summer, I went to a scenic spot in Benxi County with an outdoor group, which was only developed last year. This scenic spot is Fengfeng Valley, separated from the famous Guanmenshan National Forest Park by a mountain. Yong and Ying agree that from the name, there will be many maples here. I spent two hours walking around this small scenic spot and found that the valley here is not long but deep enough. The valley is covered with all kinds of maple trees, from triangle maple to nine-horned maple. This is simply a natural maple museum. Maple is the largest and densest tree species in the scenic spot. Therefore, it is also one of the best places to shoot red leaves in autumn.

Benxi County and Huanren County are located in the hilly area of Liaodong, and there are many places to shoot red leaves. It is not recommended to go to those free scenic spots. Here, because, first of all, there are often many free scenic spots, and the traffic will be affected. Some tourists have serious uncivilized behavior, breaking branches and climbing trees, and the red leaves are damaged. Second, free scenic spots are often small in scale, and maple trees are small in area and not concentrated. These scenic spots often have more people than red leaves.

Fushun County, Xinbin County and qingyuan county also have many places suitable for shooting red leaves. I have been to the Monkey Stone National Forest Park in Xinbin. 20 14 I first started shooting red leaves after Nikon D7000 and went to the Monkey Stone Park. From Shenyang, take the Ji Shen Expressway, and you can reach Monkey Stone in two hours. Outside the Monkey Stone Park, there is a farmhouse run by local villagers, where you can stay and board. The Monkey Stone Scenic Area is neither too big nor too small, suitable for people with average physical strength to play and shoot. I took many photos of red leaves here.

Shooting red leaves does not require high equipment. SLR or no reverse is ok. It is enough for the photographer to bring a zoom lens from wide angle to telephoto. Wide-angle shooting is used for panoramic and large scenes. Telephoto is used to take close shots or even macro shots to show close-ups of red leaves.

The choice of shooting weather. My own experience is that shooting red leaves is suitable for sunny days, and the light is sufficient. Backlight or sideways shooting can make the veins of red leaves clear. Shooting a distant view and panorama from a height will also show a contrast between light and shade and a sense of hierarchy. Mountains and valleys will appear colorful and full of colors under the sunlight. Shoot red leaves on cloudy days, and the red leaves will appear dark, the picture will be opaque and the color will be unsaturated.

Clothing choice for shooting the beauty of red leaves. Every year when you shoot red leaves, you can see Chinese aunts taking pictures with standard props, colorful clothes, colorful scarves, hats and sunglasses, and so on. These props are used by Chinese aunts in almost all shooting scenes. All the year round, spring, summer, autumn and winter are this "wardrobe". In fact, shooting red leaves is not suitable for wearing clothes with too bright colors. Because the red leaves themselves are bright enough, you can put on red clothes again and won't hide among the leaves. The most suitable clothes for taking beautiful photos of red leaves are light colors, which will form an appropriate contrast with the gorgeous and full red. Such as white, light gray, light blue and beige. However, colors that are in sharp contrast with red should also be avoided. For example, a big green, a black, a dark blue and so on.

Ok, go home and pack up the equipment, prepare the costume props, prepare to shoot the road book, prepare the money, and in another week, you can start shooting the red leaves.

See you in the mountains.
