First, choose the right shooting position.

The position of the stage in the activity shooting is particularly important. Generally, because the stage is fixed, the audience is fixed, and the shooting angle of photography is relatively fixed, there is no need to run back and forth, left and right, and run up and down to choose the right angle. Generally speaking, the middle position in the front row is an ideal angle for taking stage stills. If you are a reporter or a staff member of a licensed event, you can take a different shot. If it is a national dance drama or a symphony concert, then the middle position in the row on the second floor of the theater is the most ideal shooting point, where you can shoot from top to bottom and shoot a magnificent stage scene! When shooting a national drama, because the actors of the national drama usually go in from left to right, the protagonist often comes out after the appearance, which is a good time to shoot, so it is best to choose the left position in the middle of the first row. For example, to shoot ballet, you should be in the aisle on the left of the sixth row to the tenth row, so that you can clearly shoot the wonderful toe movements of the actors when dancing, and you can also squat in the aisle to shoot those dancing movements that take off, which can increase the sense of towering and volley.

Second, master the characteristics of stage lighting.

To sum up, the light on the stage can be called "dim, changeable and strong contrast". Therefore, in the actual party shooting, we should improvise and analyze the ability to feel various colors of light. Because the stage lighting is very weak and the actors are constantly moving, it is difficult for non-professional photographers to take clear photos. Therefore, companies usually invite professional photographers when shooting annual meetings and activities. In this case, it is best to choose a large aperture lens and appropriate high sensitivity, which can effectively improve the bad phenomenon that the contrast of stage lighting is too large and the influence level is monotonous. Stage lighting is different from ordinary lighting, and often changes with the development of the plot. The brightness is often several times different, and various colors and lights are mixed, which makes the photosensitive belt very complicated. In the case that the stage scenery cannot be completely recorded, you can take the method of "abandoning the pawn to protect the car" and expose it with reference to the brightness of the subject! In addition, we should also pay attention to the color temperature, but generally speaking, it is better to use a sunny film, and friends who use negative films don't have to consider this problem.

Third, keep the balance of picture composition and pay attention to the perfection of composition.

Every time we press the button, we have to look around to see if the picture taken in the viewfinder is what we need-this is composition. We should not only pay attention to the position of the protagonist, but also study the configuration of the whole picture, keep the balance of the picture and the internal relationship of the object elements in the picture, adjust the relative position and size of the composition objects, and determine their respective layout positions in the picture.

Four. Other major issues

1.ISO400 to ISO800 sensitivity

Although the auditorium of Jay Chou and other singers' concerts is very dark, the lighting on the stage is totally different. Under the spotlight, the performer's acceptance can be enough to shoot without a flash. If f/4 aperture is used, ISO400-800 can provide a shutter speed of1125 seconds or even higher in many cases, which is enough to freeze the actions of the performers without much change.

Focus on measuring light

Compared with the background, the performers on the stage have a high luminosity under the irradiation of spotlight, and the light difference between the subject and the background is very large. If you use the average metering preset by the camera, the metering will be affected by the dark background, and the subject is seriously overexposed. As long as you lock the performer's luminosity with key photometry, the problem can be solved. The method of locking exposure varies from machine to machine. For models with many automatic functions, half-pressing the shutter will lock the exposure, and most of them have no independent exposure lock button. You can lock the exposure before the official shooting, and then press the shutter after re-composition.

At present, many digital cameras have multi-point autofocus function. For example, the autofocus point of CanonEOS 10D has 7 points. Although you can set the focus position manually, you can safely use the camera's autofocus selection function when shooting a concert. Because the performer's luminosity must be the highest in the concert, it is unlikely that the camera will choose the wrong focus. Save the trouble of focusing, and everyone can concentrate on exposure and composition.

4. Pay attention to the white balance of sunlight

The lighting and color matching of the concert is one of the most wonderful places. However, if you use the automatic white balance mode, the camera will make the lights in the scene white and the photos will be unrecognizable. You'd better use the daylight white balance setting, the color of the photo will look more original.

5. Pay attention to black and white clothes

Although it was mentioned before that people should use key metering, when performers wear all-black or all-white clothes, the metering system of the camera is misled and the photos are likely to be seriously exposed. Therefore, if the performer wears all-white clothes, everyone needs to increase the exposure by about 1 to 1.5 (i.e. 1.5EV); If you wear black clothes, you need to reduce the exposure of 1.5.

Turn off the flash

Because the distance is too far, turning on the flash is not very helpful for shooting the concert, but it will cause the reflection of smoke in the venue and make the photo gloomy. It will be clearer to turn off the flash.
