Guanshan is named because its main peak looks like a crown and stands tall among the nearby mountains. The ancient temples in the mountains are connected, including Zifu Temple, Chonggu Academy, Wenchang Pavilion (with Lv Zudong below) and Fuzi Cave, which is called Guanshan Academy. This building was built in an unknown era. According to the inscription, from Yuan Dynasty to Shunzhi period (1330- 1332), it was rebuilt and expanded by Lu Sicheng, the prime minister of Zuo Dynasty, and was repaired many times in Ming and Qing Dynasties. All the existing buildings except Confucius Temple were rebuilt in the late Qing Dynasty.

Zifu Temple is a single courtyard with an area of 1470 square meters. The temple faces south, with a mountain gate and a hall of great heroes on the central axis, and two layers of bells and drums on both sides are opposite. The main hall has three auxiliary halls, east and west, and the architectural style is Qing Dynasty style. There are eight passes in the temple, namely, Qing Monument, Yuan Monument 1 Pass.

Chonggu Academy is located halfway up Guanshan Mountain. Its creation date is unknown. Rebuilt in Yuan Dynasty, rebuilt in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Sitting west facing east, it is in the form of a quadrangle, which is divided into two houses with the terrain, covering an area of 737 square meters. The building in the courtyard is cave-style, and the main room and the matching room are well preserved.

Wenchang Pavilion and Lv Zudong are divided into upper and lower floors according to the terrain, Wenchang Pavilion is on the top and Lv Zudong is on the bottom, both of which are single-span brick arch coupons. Fuzi Cave, located in the upper part of Guanshan Mountain, is a group of sandstone grottoes. Excavated in the fifth year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (1526), the outer plane of the cave eaves was slightly decorated with natural stone, forming a single-entry quadrangle facing south.

Guanshan Academy has been admired by scholars of all dynasties since ancient times. Lu Sicheng, the prime minister of Yuan Dynasty, and Qiao Yu, the minister of Nanjing Ministry of War in Ming Dynasty, both studied in Guanshan Academy. In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Fu Shan, a national hero, lived in seclusion here, and these heroes left immortal poems. In particular, Qiao Yu's poem tablet and the five-character stone carving in Xuanta Collection are the most famous.
