How to break away from the original intention of the deformed Hanfu movement?
Why do you say that? It is because in the whole participating group of Hanfu Cultural Renaissance Movement, the most active people are Hanfu lovers, who like to wear Hanfu, go shopping, take photos and so on. However, a few members are devoted to the study of Hanfu culture, and there are obvious faults between them. A considerable number of Hanfu fans are close to the second element.
This situation is worrying. We must think carefully about a problem and recall our initial intention of reviving Hanfu culture. In fact, "Hanfu" is a modern concept, which is the name given to the traditional costumes of the Han nationality since ancient times by everyone who is determined to revive the traditional costume system and etiquette culture in China. The "Hanfu" we want to revive refers to the mainstream traditional costumes of the Han nationality from ancient times to the present, and more importantly, it refers to the traditional costume system and etiquette culture of the Han nationality!
Here, I don't want to talk about simplicity in complexity, but I want to simplify complex and difficult theories, so today we only talk about clothes. From the perspective of Hanfu, the Hanfu we want to revive and inherit is not a specific shape and type that can be counted and enumerated in every dynasty and generation. We have to study and reach an agreement through debate, and it is not what a specific shape should look like or not. Clothing in China is constantly developing. From the beginning of the dress code, clothing has its own shape rules, but clothing is not "dead". As the closest thing to people, it should be humane, more comfortable and more suitable for people's needs, whether it is political needs, etiquette needs or life needs.
Therefore, it is not surprising that even the same dress with the same shape at the same time may have obvious differences. What is truly unchanging and conformist only exists in ideals and books.
The above remarks may be just nonsense. If you have different opinions, please be a joke. After all, this is not the point I want to say. The above is just to show that our focus is not on the dispute of "one dress and one crown", but first of all, we should understand that we are not trying to build a so-called "modern Hanfu dress framework", but we should have an open and realistic humanistic thought to study Hanfu and study its culture and craft aesthetics, which is the priceless treasure we really want to inherit.
When introducing Hanfu to people, I often put the concepts in the encyclopedia into it, but have I read it carefully? Our own interpretation of Hanfu is that Hanfu carries excellent traditional craft aesthetics and inherits dozens of intangible items ... Can you recall it? We first embarked on this road under the banner of "Chinese rejuvenation, clothes first", but were we hypnotized by ourselves? Clothing is not all we pursue, but more importantly, the culture and traditional skills carried by clothing. A dress, we can find it, understand it and even copy it by studying historical records and archaeology, but do we really get it? No, the purpose of studying it is to find out why it is like that, what kind of cultural significance its ornamentation and modeling contain, and how it was made. This is what we want to inherit.
I'm not asking everyone who likes Hanfu to learn to make Hanfu, to do archaeology and to do research. I just hope that everyone can learn more about the cultural connotation of Hanfu, not just the aesthetic feeling on the surface of Hanfu. If you wear it just for the sake of beauty, think of yourself as a little princess or a handsome guy in the Royal Guards. In the long run, it will really become a cos.
It is reasonable for the authorities to be clear about onlookers. Whenever we see someone say that their Hanfu circle is just a group of cos and cultural minorities who are complacent in ancient costumes, we will be very angry. However, if someone makes such remarks, we should not only think that they are ignorant of Hanfu culture, but also consider our own problems. Our personal quality is not high enough to let everyone know that we are inheriting culture and can only be regarded as promoting clothing.
My writing skills are limited, but I believe that sometimes words are too clear, and so are words. All the ideas I want to express are of course understandable through words. Just how to understand their problems. When I say it, I will always be refuted and scolded. I am very open-minded about this kind of thing, and it really doesn't matter. What I really hope is that after the scolding, everyone can think more and walk more.
"Chinese rejuvenation, clothes first", clothes first for more than ten years, we should keep up with the inheritance of Chinese excellent culture represented by Hanfu!
