Comments on Lao She's Works

Longxugou is an important work of Lao She, the second drama script he wrote after returning to China in the early days of liberation, and a rare masterpiece among the early main melody works. The play describes the different experiences of four families living in a small courtyard next to a stinking ditch (Longxugou) near Beijing Tianqiao, and creates various characters such as Cheng Madman, Cheng Niangzi, Ding Sisao, Aunt Wang, Brother-in-law and Uncle Zhao. Their experience and mentality show the new atmosphere and changes brought by the new regime and new system, which can be called a history of blood and tears and a history of turning over for the lower classes.

The play 195 1 premiered in February. With its rich life flavor, touching artistic image, authentic Beijing accent and rhyme, it became one of the foundation works of Peking man's artistic style. Director Jiao Juyin, starring Yu Shizhi, Ye Zi, Zheng Rong, Li Pin, Han Bing and Li Daqian.

1953, Beijing people's art staged the play again, and it premiered on 10/3. The remarkable change is that it draws lessons from the aesthetic elements of China's traditional operas and puts forward the theory of "mental image" in the actor's creation, which makes the performance more real and vivid.

The film Longxugou was produced by Beijing Film Studio 1952, directed by Xian Qun, photographed by Gao Hongtao, and composed by Su Min and Zhu Jianer. The main actors are Yu Shizhi, Yu Lan, Ye Zi, Zhang Fa, Liu Jie, Zheng Rong and Tian Lie.

According to some data, the Japanese Beijing Art Troupe also performed this play.

The new edition of Longxugou was published in June last year, and it took half a year to meet the audience. Excellence is obvious. Directors Gu Wei, Ye Zi and Zheng Rong served as art consultants, starring Yang Lixin, Zhang Wankun, Yang Guixiang, Gao Qian, Xia Liyan, Yin Wei, Guo Yijun, Lan Faqing, Lei Jia, Miao Chi and Han Qing.

This rearrangement restored the details deleted in the past, such as Liu being retained by the people's government as the deputy director of the police station. Two love lines have been added, namely, the youthful love between Er Gazi and Uncle Zhao and the yellow love between Aunt Wang. Cheng madman's final destination is also adjusted to return to the stage of Quyi.

Wu Mei set up three turntables with elaborate details. Several key scenes have strong audio-visual shock. For example, the old Beijing style is characterized by sloping dilapidated houses, chimneys, benches, water tanks, and lightning and thunder and heavy rain pouring down after chickens are buried in Longxugou.

This play is a group of plays, and all the actors are competent. Yang Lixin's last immortal singing is the icing on the cake. It is worth mentioning that 15 newly graduated performance students also joined the crew, and the 23-year-old was fortunate to be the B corner of Crazy. Such edification is of great benefit to their growth.

Put forward a point that may not be corrected-

Some actors are too "rich" to taste Longxugou.

This is also a common problem in contemporary drama. The rich play with the poor, hehe!
