Digital Photography —— Introduction and Analysis of Water Drop Shooting Method

Lead: Many photographers have tried to shoot water droplets. After careful planning, small water droplets can also make wonderful pictures.

Because the object of shooting is the instantaneous condensation of water droplets in the process of falling and splashing, it is necessary to use a higher shutter speed, which is generally not lower than11000 seconds. The larger aperture can meet the requirements of high-speed matching, while the smaller depth of field does not affect the overall effect of the picture (the main' interest point' is on the water drop).

The main difficulty in shooting water droplets is focusing. Because water is moving at high speed, it is difficult to focus. To solve this problem, you can first place a static object at the point where you intend to focus on exposure, first focus on that point to make the camera remember exposure value, and then when the water drops are close to the exposure point, start the faucet and press the shutter. If it is easier to operate with an assistant, you can use a tripod to hold the camera steady and your hands can operate freely. Of course, you can use the function of the digital camera "continuous shooting", and your chances of success are higher. If the light at the scene is dim, you can use a flash lamp to assist lighting.

The above photos were taken by the author in his own kitchen. First put half a pool of water in the pool, then turn on the tap and let the water drip slowly. When the water drops into the water and splashes, press the shutter. Then you can find in the camera: the change of water droplets is amazing!

If you want to change the background color and pursue other effects, you can change it at will. For example, you can mix a certain color in the water, put some stones or metal objects on the bottom of the water and so on. The photos taken will have different effects.
