Indifferent to human feelings and estranged from family (the eighth film "Ukiyo-e in Paris" 20 17)

Last Saturday, I came to Luoyang Film Archive to preside over the first film "Haneck's Ukiyo-e Painting". A week later, I failed to write an article. This is really wrong. Today, I have to sit in my study and talk about some feelings.

About Austrian director michael haneke, I won't go into details here. Please read the article "Two Palme d 'Or Awards in Four Years-michael haneke".

At the beginning of the film, a little girl stood in front of a white wall and performed a physical performance. Friends guess what this means. This is a school for the deaf. The children frowned and thought hard. They all expressed it in sign language, such as "loneliness", "hide and seek", "bad people", "bad intentions", "sadness" and "imprisonment". The little girl shook her head gently, and then the title was.

Anna walked out of the apartment and a boy stopped her. At first glance, it's Joan, her boyfriend George's brother. She told Jean that his brother had gone to Kosovo three weeks ago and had not returned to Paris, which made her complain that the combination lock of the apartment door could not be opened. Anna apologized. As they walked and talked, Joan told Anna that he had had enough of his father and didn't want to go back to the farm. His stepfather would become a farmer. She hoped to stay in Paris for a long time, and Anna bought bread. They walked and talked. Anna has something urgent to deal with. She told Joan the key and password of the apartment and told her to go back to the apartment alone. On the way, she met a group of street singers, listened to music for a while, ate the bread, and when she left, she crumpled the bread paper and threw it at Maria, a beggar in the street. This scene happened to be seen by the upright black youth Amadou. When the road was rough, she stepped forward and dragged the piano theory. Anna also rushed over, and then the police arrived, verified their identity cards, found that the beggar woman was an illegal immigrant from Romania, and detained Amadou. Amadou couldn't stand his humiliation and asked himself to go to the police station without an escort. Two policemen pressed it, and then the screen went black and came to an abrupt end.

A group of photos of the Kosovo war battlefield are switched like slides, with male voice-over, which is estimated to be George's voice. The last sentence mentioned his brother Jean's name.

While driving, the black taxi driver received a phone call and learned that his son Amadou had been arrested. He was anxious and worried, and unconsciously accelerated his speed. The passenger didn't want to, so he stopped the car, and the passenger got off and took another taxi. The driver said there was no charge. When the passenger got up, he scolded the door and left. The black taxi driver started the car and hurried to the police station.

In an empty room, Anna stood in the camera, and the director kept asking Anna to show her true feelings, not insincerity. Anna couldn't bear it, and tears ran down her cheeks.

Before a dining table, let him have dinner with his father. The space is tense and he is depressed, and he doesn't talk much. After dinner, his father got up and went to the bathroom, and the toilet flushed.

Romanian beggar Maria was escorted on the plane by two French policemen and repatriated to China. The door of the hut closed and two French policemen left.

The mother of Amadou, a young black man, cried about the crime of the police, beating, humiliating and searching the house, but could not find a handle, so she was acquitted. As a devout Catholic, she complained that her daughter was born dumb, which should be the black girl in 1 scene.

Maria returned to her hometown Romania and walked with a boy. The wind is strong, the dust is flying, and the air is filled with homesickness. She came to a place like a mine and hugged her husband tightly in the wind.

Anna irons clothes, watches TV and drinks red wine at home. When she heard the poor children crying, her heart was full of worries.

Maria returned home and visited her new house accompanied by her husband and children. This is the result of begging in the streets of Paris, but there is still a gap between families.

The children practiced drumming hard under the guidance of a black teacher.

George came back from Kosovo and called home in the morning. Soon after, Anna came, and they met again after a long separation, gazing at each other and smiling at each other.

Father drove a van to the farm, pushed out a motorcycle from the van, stopped at the door and entered the warehouse. Soon after, he walked out of the warehouse and saw a brand-new motorcycle. He couldn't wait to start the motorcycle and rode away.

Anna's filming scene did not meet the director's requirements and was remake.

Let's help my father work on the farm and feed hay to the cows.

Anna, George and friends get together. When talking about his feelings about the battlefield in Kosovo, George said: "It's simple there, but life here is very complicated!" At this time, Amadou and his white girlfriend walked into the restaurant talking and laughing. After sitting down, the two chatted about their watches. The woman threw her watch into the ashtray, and Amadou kissed her girlfriend's wrist affectionately. Then Anna enters the camera, and the camera moves back to George's party with his friends. Anna pointed to Amadou and told George that it was this man who caused the trouble.

In Romania, a man was driving on a country road and met Maria with a big bag in his hand, so he took her home by the way. On the way, the man asked her what she was doing in Paris. Maria was ashamed to talk about her begging career, so she faltered, worked as a female teacher in a school, and left at the door.

Anna walked into the apartment and found a letter on the ground. After reading it, Anna made a phone call, drank a glass of red wine, knocked on the neighbor's door and asked about the letter.

Two black people are talking, which should be Amadou's family.

Jane's father is reading a letter: "dear father, I'm leaving, please don't look for me." Let "

Anna and George are shopping in the supermarket. Because of that letter, they began to quarrel. Anna thinks George doesn't care about her. Every time something happens, George always hides At this time, there has been a gap between the two people, and there has been a crack in the intimate relationship.

Maria and her family attended the wedding, and everyone danced happily with Romanian characteristics, and their faces were filled with bright smiles.

In the living room of a black family, the father was giving a lecture to the children, and the family was in a mess, accusing and complaining to each other that Amadou was dating a white girlfriend and had no time to discipline his younger brother. The father thought the living room was too noisy, so he took his son to the restaurant and asked for details carefully. He learned that his son was blackmailed by a white boy named Francois.

George fiddled with the camera at home alone.

George and Joan's father killed all the cows on their farm, locked the barn door, lit a cigarette and looked into the distance, feeling very lost.

An individual auditioned on the stage, and the judges under the stage got together to discuss the audition results.

The black families who continue to quarrel learn from the conversation that their father who drives a taxi has left Paris and returned to Africa to start a new life.

On the subway, George sat in his seat with a camera around his neck. The person opposite the camera feels unnatural, as if the camera is recording her every move.

On a sunny day in Romania, Maria and her daughter stood in the yard. A friend told Maria a message. Soon after, a snakehead arranged for smuggling. At present, there are enough people, and Maria has the idea of going back to Paris to beg.

George and Anna went back to their hometown to visit their father and discuss letting him leave. Father complained that George had given his younger brother a good start. He didn't want to suffer in the country and liked the life in the city.

Maria sneaked back to Paris according to the arrangement of the snakehead.

Anna attended the funeral of little Franco, guessing that Amadou's father killed little Franco, so she fled Paris and took refuge in Africa.

George played a photo, which was shown as a slide show. This is a sneak shot of all beings on the subway. This prescription shows that in scene 25, George is installing a camera, while in scene 29, he takes a candid photo.

The farmland under the blue sky and white clouds, a seeder coming from a distance, picturesque.

On the way of smuggling, everyone was singing and drinking happily, while Maria was worried about the future survival of Paris. It turned out that a friend promised Maria to give her the certificate of selling newspapers when she left Paris. Unfortunately, at this time, the friend had left Paris and given the certificate to others, so Maria missed the opportunity to sell newspapers, and at the same time was greatly humiliated by her begging behavior, and could not help but hide her face and cry.

Anna and a male colleague are dubbing the film in the recording studio, feeling very comfortable and happy.

Amadou's father started a new life in Africa.

In the subway car, a young man from North Africa verbally harassed Anna. Anna ignored his love and deliberately kept her distance. Before leaving, the young man from North Africa spat in Anna's face. A North African adult came forward to help Anna. After thanking Anna, she hid her face and wept bitterly.

Under the command of the black teacher, the children happily beat drums in the square, and Amadou and his white girlfriend swayed with the beat. The rhythm of drums runs through the scenes of 4 1, 42 and 43, pushing the film to a climax.

Maria arrived in Paris, ready to return to her old job. She found that her previous begging position had been occupied. She had to look elsewhere for a long time and came to the door of a shop. Shortly after she sat down, two adults came to Maria. Maria was forced to leave and wandered the streets of Paris blankly.

Anna left the subway entrance with a grim expression, as if determined, came to the door of the apartment, stood in front of the password lock, entered the password and entered the apartment.

George came to the door of the apartment by bus, ready to carry big bags into the apartment, but he couldn't get in. It is estimated that Anna has changed her password. In desperation, George came to the telephone booth across the street to make a phone call, but no one answered. George stood blankly by the street in Paris.

The drums came to an abrupt end, and a dark-haired deaf-mute boy performed a physical movement, still not knowing what it meant. Communication between people is as mysterious as a password.

Haneck finished the film with 44 shots, including several wonderful long shots, among which the most difficult scenes are Scene 2, Scene 17 and Scene 39. For example, Scene 2 is located in downtown Paris, which needs to be set in advance and practiced many times. Everything needs accurate calculation, accurate deployment of the camera's shooting route, and repeated shooting 28 times. Scene 17 is ingenious and comes from George, Anna and. It is surprising that the camera switches to Amadou and his white girlfriend without any sense of disobedience, and then to Anna. Although it is not as laborious as shooting outdoors in the second scene, actors need to accurately grasp the location and time of entering the painting. It is estimated that it is difficult to have such a good effect without shooting dozens of times. The 39 th game used a fixed seat, and in the end it was a mirror. When shooting that year, the subway company in Paris only allowed shooting from 2 am to 5 am, playing the actor of young men in North Africa.

Needless to say, Juliette Binoche's acting skills, when a group of deaf-mute children played guessing games, the children played naturally. They also cleverly pointed out the theme of the film. The following scenarios are all extensions of what was mentioned before. At the end of the film, the camera is pulled back to the group of deaf-mute children at the beginning of the film. A boy took the place of a little girl and gave a physical performance to explain a seemingly beautiful thing to everyone. Unfortunately, we didn't see other children's guesses, and we need to interpret them ourselves. Long shots especially test the acting skills of actors and the scene scheduling of many actors' performances. Without good acting skills, you can't make a good long-shot work.

The musical highlight of this film is drum music. From the beginning of practice to the final climax, the rhythmic drums give the film full appeal. Under the guidance of black teachers, deaf-mute children have formed a unified rhythm. The children were in high spirits and immersed in music. Although they can't communicate in words, they can communicate through music. Then the drums are used as the background music of scene 4 1, 42, 43.

As the capital of art, Paris is famous all over the world. However, because this film exposes too many problems, such as racial discrimination, illegal immigration, public security disorder and so on. After the release of "Paris Ukiyo-e", the French media criticized the film as a product of pure foreigners' imagination. However, this film is the only one in Haneck that has done research and investigation first, and made a detailed inquiry into the African-Americans and Romanian-Americans in Paris, so it can fairly, objectively, accurately and truly describe Paris at that time.

The discrimination of French police against African-Americans and Romanian-Americans, the accusations and complaints between black family members, the alienation between Jean, George and his father, the fragile feelings between George and Anna, the indifference of the street people in Paris, Maria's daughter urging her mother to sneak into Paris to make a lot of money, and so on. Through the incomplete stories of several families, they cross each other but don't know each other, but they know each other but it is difficult to communicate and understand. Haneck recorded all beings living in Paris with a cold lens.

From beginning to end, there are few real communication scenes, from which we can also find highlights. One is the communication between deaf children. Children communicate by guessing riddles, but they can't understand each other. Later, they practiced drumming and communicated with each other in the form of music, and finally created a magnificent musical chapter. Another real communication is the deep affection between a young black man Amadou and a white girlfriend. It takes great courage to love across two ethnic groups. Amadou's family hates white people and doesn't like Amadou's association with white girls. Although there is no white girl's family, it should be seen from the film that there is a deep gap between whites and blacks, but they can love each other bravely regardless of secular prejudice. This is very rare. In order to show their concern for Amadou, his girlfriend did not hesitate to throw away his watch when she heard Amadou's evaluation that it was ok. Amadou deeply kissed his girlfriend's wrist. Real communication is rare and precious. In the face of your loved ones and confidants, don't live up to it, and do it and cherish it!
