Where must I go to travel to Hangzhou?

The biggest characteristic tourist attraction in Hangzhou is the West Lake, and most of the scenic spots near the West Lake do not need tickets.

Hangzhou West Lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The scenic spot consists of one mountain (isolated mountain), two dikes (Su Causeway and Bai Causeway), three islands (Ruan Gongdun, Hu Xinting and Zhou Xiaoying), five lakes (Waixi Lake, Beili Lake, Xili Lake, Moon Lake and South Lake) and ten scenic spots (Quyuan Fenghe, Pinghu Qiuyue, Broken Bridge Snow and Liulang Yingying).

Suggested tours: Su Causeway, Bai Causeway, Santan Yin Yue, Huxinting, Leifeng Pagoda, Pagoda of Six Harmonies, Lingyin Temple, Yuemiao and Huagang for fish watching.

1. Pagoda of Six Harmonies ★★★★★★

Under the approach bridge on the north side of Qiantang River Bridge, walk along the left hand side of Binjiang Avenue for about ten minutes, and you can reach the foot of Pagoda of Six Harmonies in the Moon Mountain in Jiangbei. The stone steps of the tower are steep, so it is best to support each other.

Go to Pagoda of Six Harmonies to see the river view and listen to the bell.

In the third year of Kaibao in the Northern Song Dynasty (970), Qian Hongjiao, King of Wu Yue, built it for Zhenjiang Chao. It is a pavilion tower with brick and wood structure. Now the tower has eight sides and seven floors, with a height of 59.89 meters and an area of about 900 square meters.

The exterior is 13 floor, and the interior is only 7 floors (the sixth floor is closed, and the seventh floor is connected with the tower body, forming a unique structure of "seven bright and six dark").

The tower adopts arches with different angles, which organically combines the cloisters, tombs, ramps and platform doors of each floor, and can reach the top floor directly. Outside the tower, iron bells of 104 are hung on the eaves of each floor.

Photography Guide: Go up the hill from the north side of Pagoda of Six Harmonies, cross the tower garden and come to the terrace of the wooden tower in Imitation Ying County. When you look back, you will find yourself standing at the most satisfactory shooting point.

2. Song Cheng ★★★★★

"Give me a day and give you back a thousand years" is the slogan of Song Cheng. In fact, the largest Song Wenhua theme park in China is well worth visiting. Song Cheng consists of Qingming Riverside Map Reproduction Area, Art Square Area, Kowloon Column Area, Yingzhou Fairy Mountain Area and Southern Song Dynasty Palace Area. The folk cultural performances of palaces, post stations, shops and workshops, streets and lanes, Hongqiao, towers, fairy mountains, villages and streets in the city reproduce the prosperity of Bianjing and Lin 'an in the Song Dynasty.

Transportation: Take No.308, No.514, No.4, No.5 and Holiday Line 5 and get off at Songcheng Station.

3. Lingshan Dreamland ★★★★

"Lingshan Dreamland" is famous for its height, strange danger and the integration of geomantic omen and waterfalls. Lingshan scenic spot consists of 24 caves, including Lingshan Cave, Quanshui Cave, Fengshui Cave and Kong Li Cave. Among them, the mountains and peaks are stacked with green flowers and the landscape is rich and attractive.

Also known as Lingshan Cave, it has a history of 1500 years. This cave is different from other places. It is a vertical shaft with a height difference of 109 meters and a total area of more than 4,000 square meters.

There are five halls in the cave: Kirin Welcome, Underwater Cave, Saikunlun, Tianzhu Hall and Dayun Basin. Stalactites are varied, like flowers and fruits, and lifelike. In particular, scenes such as "Brocade", "Palace Que Kai" and "Yu Lian Waterfall" are magnificent.

4. Qiantang River Bridge ★★★★

It is suggested to be the south starting point for sightseeing in Hangzhou. Standing on the bridge deck that is not wide, you can have a panoramic view of Pagoda of Six Harmonies and experience the Hang Cheng flavor surrounded by mountains and rivers.

The tour in this area is based on "going to the Six Ancient Pagodas, watching the spring tide of Qianjiang River, enjoying the scenery of Song Cheng and visiting the future world", radiating "going back to the source of Qianjiang River and watching the spring tide of Ninghai River", which is suitable for refreshing in autumn. The best tour is when the spring tide comes in August of the lunar calendar.

West Lake, Leifeng Tower and Qiantang River Bridge are the first impressions of many ordinary people in China. This bridge was designed by Mao Yisheng, a famous bridge scientist in China, and is located in the east of Pagoda of Six Harmonies. Built in 1937, it has experienced ups and downs. It is the first self-designed double-deck steel beam highway-railway bridge in China, with a total length of1.453m, of which Jiang Shang main bridge1.072m, the north bank approach bridge is 288m and the south bank approach bridge is 93m.

Tip: Watch the spring tide of Qiantang River on August 15th of the lunar calendar every year.

5. Future world ★★★★

"Hangzhou Future World" in Zhijiang National Tourism Resort is the largest outdoor theme park in Asia at present, with the largest holographic film in the world.

The whole park consists of six sections: Happy World, Romantic Competition, Brilliant Celebration, Huaying Avenue, Colorful Square and Dream Center. The "Dream Center" is a huge indoor playground with a building area of10.6 million square meters, which is the essence of the whole "future world". It consists of five different styles of scenic spots: just visiting, forest exploration, English flower street, international market and dream stage.

Transportation: Take bus No.504, tourist bus No.5 and holiday bus No.5, and get off at Future World Station.

6. Baita

Baita, located in the south of the West Lake, on Baitaling on the Qiantang River. It faces Pagoda of Six Harmonies from a distance. Built in the Five Dynasties. It is made of pure white stone, hence the name "White Pagoda".

The White Pagoda is a wooden pagoda with eight sides and nine floors. There are spindle-shaped leaning columns in every corner of each floor, and there are pot doors, carved heads, royal rings and nail doors on all sides of each floor. The Buddha and Bodhisattva statues are embossed on both sides of the pot door, with delicate lines, vivid shapes and vivid images. The other four sides are engraved with scriptures, and there is a bodhisattva in the middle. With five generations of architectural style, it became the masterpiece of high-rise buildings at that time.

Under Baitaling, the old Baita Bridge was the main road of land and water transportation at that time. The ancients said: "Baita Bridge sells land classics, and the short posts in the pavilion are very clear. Why only say Lin 'an Road, not counting how many miles there are in the Central Plains? "Although this bridge does not exist, it reflects the scene near the White Pagoda.

The White Pagoda is of great reference value for studying the history and art of China architecture. 1988 was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
