How to get to Shinnyoji?

In this bustling Shanghai, there is a temple called Xinyi Temple. In the downtown area of Shanghai, it is really hidden in the city and appears lonely and independent in the surrounding high-rise buildings. Together with the park built by the temple, this temple has become a short rest place for the surrounding temples. Let's take a look.

Zaizhenru

Time seems to be blocked.

Slow enough for you to follow in its footsteps.

Don't think about those trivial things, don't think about the future, and be calm alone.

Many old Shanghainese

It's like checking in twice a year.

Once you eat mutton, once you perm your hair.

Really, it was called Taoxi in ancient times, named after Taopu. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was an important town where merchants gathered, so it was also called "Tongzhen". If you want to know the real history, you have to start with a temple.

As temple

Sinnijoji, formerly known as "Manjuji", is called "the Great Temple" by Shanghainese. It is said that it was built in the Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. In fact, there used to be many temples in Putuo District, but most of them have been destroyed. Among the existing temples, Xinyi Temple is the earliest and most influential temple. Many people don't know that Xinyi Temple is one of the four famous temples in Shanghai (the other three are Jing 'an, Longhua and Jade Buddha). Although not as famous as other temples, there are many good men and women who have been burning incense for a hundred years.

Shinnyoji is different from ordinary temples with yellow walls and golden tiles. It doesn't cost a lot of money, but adopts a simple and elegant style with white walls and black tiles, which is really rare in Shanghai. The traffic outside the temple is busy, but the temple is quiet, the sound of Buddha fills the air, and it is a quiet and peaceful scene, which is a rare pure land in Shanghai.

From time to time, monks can be seen chanting in the fields, adding a solemnity to the temple. When I was impetuous, I came to Xinyang Temple for a walk and recited prayers, and my tired and troubled mind in the world suddenly had a moment of peace.

The whole inner temple is not big, and you can visit it in an hour or so. However, the temple is one step at a time, with a regular layout and a strong sense of solemnity in Buddhism, which is suitable for walking slowly. It's really like Fangta Temple, Jue Yuan Temple, Dizang King Hall, Tibetan Classics Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, East-West Annex Hall, Monk's Room ... Every temple and Buddhist temple reveals a sense of historical dignity. As soon as you come in from the inner court, you can see the treasure of your heart-the Yuan Temple. This "Great Hall" has a long history. It is one of the best-preserved wooden temples in the Yuan Dynasty in the south of the Yangtze River, and the earliest existing wooden building in Shanghai.

Contemporary architects Beiliang (Sicheng), Nanliu (Dunzhen) and Chinese and foreign architectural experts all come here to visit, inspect, inspect and study, which has high research and historical value in the history of architecture and Buddhism, and they have to admire the wisdom and intelligence of the ancients. The front yard of the main hall is full of lotus and pine and cypress. It's midsummer, and the lotus is blooming beautifully and full of vitality. There are also two huge ginkgo trees in the yard, which are as alive as temples. After more than 800 years of vicissitudes, it is still flourishing.

One of the trees withered during the Cultural Revolution, but it magically revived in 1992, causing a sensation. Now, many people make wishes under the trees, praying for peace and happiness. If you really want to appreciate the beauty of ancient ginkgo, you might as well wait until autumn, when golden ginkgo trees are in full bloom and hidden in Brahma Temple, which is a rare beauty in the temple. The northernmost part of the temple is the world-famous stupa. Seen from a distance, it stands tall and magnificent in the sky. Because the stupa is a square pagoda with four sides, it is 53 meters high, with nine floors outside and ten floors inside, plus eleven floors underground. The only relic in Shanghai that is said to be Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in the underground palace. I used to climb to the top of the tower to see the scenery of Putuo, but now it has been closed for cultural relics protection. Every corner of the pagoda was hung with bronze bells, and the breeze tinkled and the mood suddenly calmed down.

There are two small lotus ponds in front of the stupa, which read "Don't put turtles". This is the first time that headline bacteria have seen such a warning. Colorful lotus flowers are in full bloom in the pond, and dragonflies fly by from time to time, as if returning to Little Guang Chen. One thing many people must do when they write to Yangcheng is to turn the prayer wheel, which is rare in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces. Under the stupa, 108 * *, go around the stupa. Imagine yourself as a devout believer in Cangyang Jiacuo's works, and turn the prayer tube while praying devoutly, and your experience will be baptized.

In addition to these magnificent and exquisite buildings, temples are also full of Buddhist beauty, which requires your careful observation. For example, wall reliefs can be seen everywhere. Every step you take, you will encounter a floor tile engraved with lotus patterns. They are spotless and grow lotus flowers step by step. There is a 200-meter-long wooden tablet gallery, which contains various stone tablets and many contemporary Zen paintings and calligraphy works, which is a major feature of Xinyu Temple. The trees are green and koi fish is crowded.

There is also a small river in the temple, which passes through the temple, accompanied by the cozy flowing water of small bridges and the leisure of Xia Feng. Sitting on the edge of the promenade, you can spend an afternoon leisurely.

When you come to Shinnyoji, you must not miss the vegetarian meal, which will be served at noon 1 1. The wooden door is affixed with the words "dining entrance", which is on the basement level and easy to find. The dining place is called "Ruyi Zhai", which is clean and bright and has no smell of oil smoke. People who come to eat also consciously "don't talk" and queue up in an orderly manner. Su Zhai 10 yuan, rice and soup. There are four or five kinds of vegetarian dishes, such as celery leaves, green beans, fried pumpkins, tofu ... The taste is surprisingly good, and the headline bacteria can't resist CD.

There is also free porridge in it. Not hungry, our photographer's little brother didn't buy rice. Unexpectedly, Ruyizhai's grandmother called her little brother with concern and enthusiastically helped to fill a bowl of porridge, which was very touching. On the first and fifteenth day of the first month, a simple bowl of vegetarian noodles will have a different taste. Therefore, many people will come to Xinnei Temple to be vegetarian and experience the daily life of ascetic monks. I kowtow, burn incense, turn the scriptures, blow, make a wish, eat, meet and leave the temple, return to the hubbub, and get inner peace and tranquility. This trip to Shinnyoji is really glad you came.

Zhujiajiao, Qibao, Fengjing and other ancient towns are well known, but they are really like ancient towns. Many people have never been there, or even heard of it. In fact, they are really like ancient towns, but the only ancient town in Shanghai is not far from Shinnyoji. The archway at the entrance and the bullet road at the foot tell people the real history and vicissitudes, and also witness the development of the real region. Lanxi street is an old street in the old city. Now there are many online celebrity shops in the old city, which are worth pulling weeds and punching in.

Really like a mutton restaurant, the ancient town is fragrant for a hundred years.

Address: Siqian Street 1 (northwest corner of the intersection of Siqian Street and Beishi Road)

Zhenru Town once had three treasures: Zhenru mutton, bean products and Dube. These are all "treasures" talked about by the old Shanghai population. Among them, Zhenru mutton is the most famous.

In Zhenru ancient town, there is such a Zhenru mutton restaurant, which has inherited mutton processing skills for more than 200 years and has also been listed as an intangible cultural heritage of Shanghai. Shanghai people want to eat mutton, and almost the first thing they think of is their own home. A bowl of braised mutton noodles can capture the stomach of eating goods. Mutton and mutton soup noodles are served separately, and the weight is sufficient. Fresh mutton is cut into small pieces with bones and tied tightly with silk grass. As soon as it comes up, it smells delicious and makes people drool. The mutton restaurant echoes the architectural style of the ancient town, with antique doors, wooden window bars, tables and chairs ... It is always a feeling to eat mutton in it.

Old Sheng Xing, everyone is here every day.

Address: No.300 Lanxi Road

Speaking of old Sheng Xing baozi stuffed with juicy pork, Shanghainese will never be unfamiliar. There may be one at home. Every meal, everyone is full, the price is relatively civilian, and 20 yuan can be eaten. Shanghainese like to eat fried-dumpling, which is very famous, but old Sheng Xing's fried-dumpling is a must, 6 yuan /4, with thin skin and thick stuffing, so be careful to burn your mouth when eating. Another bowl of cold noodles or wonton in summer is really a national local specialty food mall in Shanghai, where you can find the native products of your hometown.

Address: No.231Lanxi Road

Almost all Shanghai specialties can be found here, not only foreign tourists, but also it is normal for Shanghai uncles and aunts to queue up here. The point is, not only are there many kinds of specialties here, but the prices are also very cheap. The products of Yongfeng next door have been in business for many years. At first glance, it looks very similar to Shanghai Ethnic Local Cuisine Mall, but it sells a lot of daily food.

The bamboo shoots in Wuyishan, Fujian Province really shocked the headline bacteria. They are half a man, only 3.8 yuan/Jin, and need a male to move home.

Du Sanzhen, a century-old flavor from Suzhou.

Address: No.282 Lanxi Road

Du Sanzhen is also a century-old shop. It is said that it is a brand in Suzhou, which specializes in braised dishes. It is said that it was founded in Guangxu period. It is the same level as the cooked food in Ala Guangming Village, Shanghai. There are many kinds of marinated vegetables in it, such as Sanzhentou meat, sauced pork hands, spiced rabbit legs, dried meat and sauced ears ... You can buy some bad marinated vegetables in summer and have a different taste. It is especially recommended that you slice the oily meat and let your aunt steam it with taro. It's really beautiful. Not far from the ancient town is Tongchuan Road Aquatic Products Market. Originally, you could stop by buy buy seafood after visiting the ancient town, but now Tongchuan Road Aquatic Products Market has moved away. So, if you still have plenty of time, you might as well go to Zhenru Park, which is a small green park near the Dadu River in Putuo District 1898, Shanghai. The park is shaded by trees, full of flowers and breezy, bringing coolness in summer. It's really a good place to ride the wind. Singing in chorus, walking the baby, dancing in square dance ..... The surrounding residents always come to the park and live a colorful life. There are some cats in the park, eating and sleeping, so uncomfortable. In the lake outside the fence, you can also see the big white goose swimming around happily. In the southeast corner of the park, you can see the stupa far away.

If the park is really the most beautiful, it must be in the cold winter. At that time, plum blossoms were in full bloom in the garden, and the fragrance of flowers was refreshing. It's beautiful and worth seeing. If the weather in Shanghai is good recently and you are free, you might as well go shopping. It's like tasting the century-old delicacy of the ancient town and feeling the leisure in the hustle and bustle ~
