In general, you can take the subway to Dongzhimen, get off the subway and take the 916 express train to Huairou (it takes an hour and a half), and it only costs about 8 yuan. You can go to "Huairou North Street" or "Huairou North Street". Get off at "Yangjiayuan". As soon as you get off the bus, many people will ask you, "Are you going to Mutianyu?" A black one costs about 100 yuan if you go to the rear Jiankou (i.e. Xizhazi), and it's only a few dozen cheaper if you go to the front Jiankou. But it takes a long time to walk after getting off the bus at Qianjiankou. I heard it takes 3 hours to get to the Great Wall. It is close and has many roads from Houjiankou. I walked that route in October last year and it took 40 minutes to reach the Great Wall. There are quite a few places to stay in Xizhazi. The most famous one is "Zhao's Mountain Residence". Tel: 010-61611762. The owner is Zhao Fuqing. There are only a few dozen places where you can stay for a day, so you can inquire in advance. By the way, you need to buy a ticket at the entrance of the village to enter. It costs 20 for a ticket.

If you think it is expensive, you can also take the bus to Xizhazi, but there is only one bus a day. Morning time: 11:30am from Xizhazi to Huairou; return at 4:30pm in the afternoon. This is not suitable for a one-day tour, as it is generally not possible to make it in time.

There are not many people there, but there are also many mountaineering enthusiasts and photography enthusiasts. When I went last year, it was the peak season and there were not many people.

Self-driving is the most ideal option for Youjiankou. From Huairou, follow the road leading to Mutianyu to Xinying, cross the overpass to the roundabout, and head 3 kilometers northwest to the Pearl Spring Village Rainbow Trout Farm.

After climbing the city from Xizhazi to the gold refinery, follow the gravel road on the left side of the road into the mountains, 5 kilometers to Xizhazi Village. It takes about 3 hours to drive there. There is a parking lot in Xizhazi Village at the foot of Jiankou, which is very convenient.

Accommodation Xizhazi Village is the base camp for visiting Jiankou. Tourists who go to Jiankou for sightseeing and photography usually stay and rest here. The most famous one is "Zhao's Villa". The owner’s surname is Zhao, and people in the outdoor photography circle affectionately call this place Lao Zhao’s house. When you arrive at the parking lot of Xizhazi Village, you can see the words "Home of Film Friends" on the wall of Lao Zhao's house. Itinerary Day 1: Xizhazi Village-Jiankou-Ladder to Heaven-Eagle Flying Upward-Xizhazi Village

Take the path on the right side of Zhao's Mountain Residence and exit the Jiankou of the Great Wall on the village. Follow the Great Wall in a clockwise direction to the Heavenly Staircase. The Heavenly Stairway is steep and difficult to climb. The inclination angle is about 70 to 80 degrees. It is difficult to climb. The height is about ten meters, and the brick walls are seriously weathered. After climbing the "ladder to heaven", you are close to the most dangerous commanding height of Jiankou, "Eagle Flying Backward". "Eagle flying upside down" refers to the watchtower built on an abrupt mountain. It is steep and majestic. It rises from the ground among the originally undulating mountains. Even the eagle flies here. You have to fly backwards and upwards to reach the top, hence the name. The advantage of this route is that it does not cover much distance in 2 days, so it is relatively easy. You can also add Zhengbei Tower on the first day, take the Beijing knot - Eagle Flying Upward - Tianlai - Zhengbei Tower - follow the path back to the village and stay at "Zhao's Villa" and then visit Jiuyan Tower the next day. 1. Parts of the Great Wall have collapsed and many places need to be climbed. Please do this. Be prepared.

2. The Great Wall is covered with shrubs, and there is only a path wide enough for one person to walk on. Please be sure to wear wear-resistant outerwear and pants. It is recommended to wear sports sunglasses, goggles, and anti-UV glasses when driving. Security mirrors are also available.

3. If you are camping on the Great Wall, it is not suitable for large numbers of people. Generally, only watchtowers can be used as campsites.
