The highest point of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is Liangzi in Mengsong Township, Menghai County, with an altitude of 2,429 meters, and the lowest point is the junction of Lancang River and Nanla River, with an altitude of 477 meters.

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is one of the eight autonomous prefectures in Yunnan Province and the capital of Jinghong City. There are many kinds of tropical fruits in Xishuangbanna, and there are many fruits all year round. There are bananas, pineapples, mangoes, sour plums, tamarind, grapefruit, carambola, annona, jackfruit, lychee, longan, coconut, goat milk, sour beans, papaya, mangosteen, sweet corn, olives and passion fruit.

Papaya is called "Ma Gui Sha Bao" in Dai language and is cultivated all over Xishuangbanna. Mainly produced in Jinghong, Mengyang, Olive Dam and other low-altitude valley basins.

Mengban orange is an excellent variety of citrus, which is called "Mazu Mengban" in Dai language. It is named after Mengban and Mansang, which are native to Luoda Town, Menghai County.

Coconut is a famous tropical fruit, which is cultivated in Xishuangbanna low-altitude valley basin and mainly produced in Olive Dam and Jinghong Dam. There are tall coconuts and short coconuts.

Grapefruit is commonly known as "big bubble fruit", and Xishuangbanna Dai language is called "Majingzhang" or "Ma Oh". Xishuangbanna is cultivated all over the country, mainly in Jinghong, Olive Dam, Menglun, Mengla and other low-altitude valley basins.
