The book has about 280,000 words and is divided into two parts. The first chapter is the introduction, which consists of three chapters. The first chapter introduces the evolution of China pottery and the invention of porcelain. The second chapter describes the characteristics of China porcelain, and analyzes it from two aspects: craft and decorative art. The third chapter describes the export of China porcelain and the spread of technology, and discusses the influence of China porcelain-making technology on the world ceramics. The second chapter is the development history of China porcelain, with 7 chapters in total. Based on the appearance of famous kilns in past dynasties, this paper discusses the production of porcelain industry in various historical periods and some problems in the history of porcelain in China. The first chapter is the representative period of Yue Kiln (3rd ~10th century ── Three Kingdoms to the early Northern Song Dynasty), the second chapter is the representative period of Hebei and Henan Kilns (10th ~12nd century ── Northern Song Dynasty), and the third chapter is the representative period of Longquan Kiln (12 ~ 6544). The fourth chapter is the representative period of Jingdezhen kiln (1mid-3rd century to19th century ── Yuan Dynasty to mid-Qing Dynasty), the fifth chapter is the ceramic industry in China in recent hundred years (19th century to mid-20th century ── mid-Qing Dynasty to 1949), and the sixth chapter is the new China.
