Didn't you notice what scale was used when taking pictures? Generally speaking, we take photos with mobile phones or portable digital cameras. Usually the native ratio is 4:3, which is very common in the digital age.

This is because the ratio of photosensitive elements is 4:3, so this ratio is the most basic photo ratio on mobile phones.

Generally speaking, I would recommend using the original scale to take pictures, so that we can get the most effective pixels, and then we need to adjust the scale or cut them later, so that we can use more pixels to get better results.

Take 4:3 as an example, which can be said to be based on the proportion of mobile phones or general digital cameras. If you choose this ratio first, you have to cut it into 16:9 or 3:2 later, which is more flexible.

In addition, generally speaking, in digital photography, it is not only 4:3, but also 3:2. Native 3:2 is common in digital monocular cameras with interchangeable lenses or high-order digital cameras. However, there are exceptions. For the Micro 4/3 system with interchangeable lens, its native ratio is 4:3, not 3:2, which is common in monocular cameras.

This 3:2 ratio is the same as the film format in the past movie era, so this ratio is the closest to the frame of the previous movie shooting.

Generally speaking, 3:2 is slightly even than 4:3. Personally, I think the visual sense is more in line with the human eye. So whether it's on my mobile phone or camera, it's the proportion I often share online.

So, what will be the third photo scale? 16:9 may be a common way to view photos.

In fact, when you haven't noticed, the preset ratio of many mobile phones is 16:9, which is in line with the ratio of common screens on mobile phones. Recently, it is generally 16:9. If you shoot at this ratio, it will be a full-page visual effect in the camera APP.

Nowadays, mobile phones usually occupy a high screen ratio, and often appear 16:9 distortion, reaching the ratio of 18:9.

Generally speaking, such a narrow proportion of photos is often used in movies, so we can add a little more to our photos with such a proportion, which is similar to walking into the movie or stopping the movie.

In the film era, there were 6x6 specifications, which were square, and the film width was larger than the common 135 film. Few people take pictures with this camera in the later period, but this specification is familiar to the world digitally.

The reason is the popularity of instagram. Although instagram has been able to upload photos of various scales, it must be cut into 1: 1 at the initial stage regardless of the scale.

In fact, a square photo will be different from the horizontal composition of 4:3 and 3:2 in framing and composition, because the length and width are equal and the picture is relatively stable, which is also very suitable for simple and clean subject presentation.

I often take some photos with a ratio of 1: 1, and some food photos, which will look fresh, but because of the ratio, they are a little stable in freshness.

In fact, according to different transmission forms, we can freely choose the proportion we want to use. If you particularly like a certain proportion, you might as well use that proportion to shoot, or you can accumulate your own photo characteristics.
