How to shoot a meeting with a camera
First of all, you need to know the content of the meeting in advance, and conduct on-the-spot investigation on the size, lighting, location of the guests and the location of your own shooting, so as to draft and determine the content to be filmed. Prepare the necessary camera equipment the day before the meeting.
The shooting contents of the meeting include time, place, people, the beginning, process and end of the meeting. And show it to the audience one by one when shooting, and it is best not to miss it.
Attention should be paid when shooting the time, place and participants of the meeting: general cameras have time recording function, but this function is generally turned off when shooting, and later captions or time-stamped pictures are used to explain it; You can shoot banners and other publicity slogans outside the venue to express the content of the meeting and explain the location at the same time; Arrive early on the day of the meeting and take photos of the important guests. Important guests sometimes rest in the VIP room before the meeting, and then take pictures of the host and guest shaking hands and talking.
Second, the press conference shooting
Before the meeting begins, the general layout of the venue (including the panoramic view of the podium and the panoramic view of the venue) is photographed first, and then the host announces the beginning of the meeting. When shooting, the pictures of all participants clapping should be changed slowly to highlight the serious atmosphere of the venue.
It is very important to shoot after the meeting starts. People attending the meeting should be the key targets. For important speakers, close-up shots should be taken all over or half-length, and the camera should be aimed at important speakers as much as possible, which requires special attention. For other speakers, we should also take pictures, which is not only a respect for the participants, but also to make the meeting complete. There is also the need to film the audience listening to the lecture, because only the speaker's picture will make the video of the meeting look empty.
Sometimes it is impossible for us to record a long meeting completely, so we should choose a representative spokesman to shoot it. Don't forget to film the audience at this time. When the speaker hands over, you might as well aim at the audience, take pictures of their concentration or take notes. The audience showed impatience. You can't take photos of napping or whispering, otherwise it will be a failure of the meeting record.
It is best to shoot the speaker from the front, so that the whole front of the subject can be clearly displayed. When shooting, the subject should be located in the center of the shooting picture, and the speaker's persuasiveness and attraction can be expressed through his eyes, expressions and gestures. In addition, pay attention to the posture and gestures of the subject.
Because meeting minutes are mainly used to shoot feature films or news films, the shooting method is the same as that of news, but it is more artistic. It should be noted that special materials should not pursue fancy in the picture, and never use picture transformation stunts to shoot special materials, because the picture stunt processing needs to be completed in post-production. It is best to use the "clip" screen more during the shooting process to facilitate the later dubbing. The so-called "cut" is to fix the camera position, adjust the aperture, speed and white balance, and shoot continuously for a few seconds.
At the end of the meeting, you should aim the camera at the rostrum first, and then turn the picture to the standing and applauding audience. At this time, you should have a certain grasp of the panorama. Finally, put the DV stand at the exit to shoot the appearance of the participants, and end the shooting of this meeting with the picture change of "gradually entering the dark".
Third, trivial shooting
In some meetings, the main leaders meet the guests after the meeting. At this time, they should arrive at the venue immediately after filming the last speaker and make preparations for filming in advance. When shooting, you should pay attention to the picture of the host and guest shaking hands. If you want to interview the participants and let them talk about their feelings and thoughts about attending the meeting, you need to design questions in advance.
Fourth, matters needing attention
Some meetings will use projectors, so the lights will be turned off. Pay attention to adjusting the white balance. In addition, if possible, try to use camera lights, so that good shooting results can be achieved in meetings using projectors.
Pay attention to the slow change of the picture when shooting the meeting to highlight the serious atmosphere of the meeting. Don't change the scene quickly at will, and don't use the zoom lens frequently, so as not to give people a dazzling feeling.
You can turn the picture to the audience when the speaker hands over, but if the audience happens to be taking a nap or whispering, you must pay attention to the failure of such a shot and pay attention to makeup;
Because most meetings are shot in relatively low motion, sound is the main point of view, so we must pay attention to the clear recording of sound. When shooting, aim the microphone of the camera at the speaker through the extension cord, which can make the recording clearer and the theme more prominent. However, be careful not to let the pickup device of the camera get too close to the speaker system at the venue, otherwise it will produce harsh screams. Remember;
When shooting awards, awards and other large-scale conference scenes, it is best to use external photographic lights to ensure sufficient light input;
In the conference report with poor images, you can use the clip-and-paste lens to cut the pictures out of the venue to enhance the image expressive force of the pictures. Of course, if your post-editing ability is good, you can also switch some related pictures, so that the whole conference will have the seriousness of the documentary without boring the audience.
