Why are domestic horror films always criticized?

Before understanding why domestic horror films have been criticized, I learned what horror films are. Horror film? This is a film aimed at creating terror. The content of the story is absurd and bizarre, causing terror. For example, the development of photography technology provides more favorable conditions for showing horror pictures, and some so-called earthquake, nuclear war and other disaster films also belong to this category. In other words, horror movies are actually the style closest to the artistic characteristics of movies.

So in my opinion, horror movies need suspense, content and photography skills. From this, I have an understanding of the reasons why domestic horror films have been criticized. Most of the existing domestic horror films are aimed at creating terror. Some even directly use bloody (plasma blasting and the like) to create a horrible atmosphere. But from my point of view, this may be divided into? A thriller? Not a horror movie.

Secondly, I think there is another reason for being criticized, that is, technical defects. Domestic horror films are not always used technically. What the audience wants now is not only to vent their fears, but also to produce a higher sensory viewing effect through the photographic technology or special effects that keep pace with the times. However, domestic horror films have never been able to do this.

If there is any reason why domestic horror films are criticized, I guess it should be the setting of content and the low shooting cost of domestic horror films. The defect of content makes people unable to bring it in completely, which is also a major reason why domestic horror films become thrillers. Then there is the lack of technology caused by the reduction of production costs, which leads to the low quality of output.

Finally, I think there is another reason, that is, the foreign horror film Zhu Yu ranks first. Let the audience have high expectations and recognition for horror movies. In contrast, the content with low production cost and lack of exquisite photography technology has been unable to be recognized by the audience.

This is probably my personal opinion on why domestic horror films have been criticized.
