The scenery in Uncle Xing’s eyes (V. Qifeng Town)

Qifeng Town is about 10 kilometers away from downtown Guilin. Uncle Xing often rides his bicycle to take photos.

Qifeng Town is very unique. It is the only town without a town in the country. Qifeng Town is actually a geographical name. There is Dongshan Township here, where dozens of families live.

The scenery in Qifeng Town is very unique. The mountains here are majestic, with rich layers and gorgeous colors. From a close look, the mountains look like swords and halberds, piercing the sky; from a distance, the mountains are intertwined, overlapping, and mysterious. Especially when it is foggy, the clouds and mist surround the mountains, and the peaks appear and disappear, making it look like a fairyland.

Qifeng Town is the place with the densest concentration of peaks and forests in Guilin. The peaks are green and tall, just like countless green mountains emerging from the water. Since ancient times, there has been a saying that "Looking at the strange peaks outside Qifeng Town, thousands of sharp peaks lock the blue sky." The Qifeng landscape is one of the eight famous scenic spots in Guilin.

Although Qifeng Town has beautiful scenery, it has not become a scenic spot. Because this place is the choke point of Guilin, it has always been a battleground for military strategists and an important place for setting up camps and garrisoning troops. It is said that this was the training ground for the Taiping Army. A barracks is now stationed here. A few years ago, I went to a military camp to take group photos of veterans and felt the atmosphere of the military camp.

Although it has not been developed into a scenic spot, the beautiful scenery of Qifeng Town still attracts many photography enthusiasts and tourists.

Thank you, Uncle Xing, for bringing us the beautiful scenery of Qifeng Town.
