AV application of AV input

At present, most DVD and CD players have AV output interfaces to facilitate the connection with audio-visual equipment. The power amplifier and satellite TV receiver are also equipped with AV output interface, which is convenient for connecting audio and TV. Other video equipment, such as video recorders, DV cameras, ordinary cameras, etc., also have AV interfaces. Some manufacturers' digital cameras are also equipped with AV output interface, such as Olympus FE290 digital camera, which can be directly connected to TV to play photos.

Panasonic and JVC's C-type cameras generally have no AV input, but some 8mm or Hi8 cameras have AV input. The reason for this is that both JVC and Panasonic analog home video cameras adopt VHS-C format, which is the same as home video recorder, so it is universal, and it can be played on home video recorder through random conversion box without AV input interface on small camera, thus avoiding the trouble of wiring. However, the 8mm format video or Hi8 format video shot by Sony and Sharp's camcorder is not compatible with the VHS format home video recorder, so it can't be used universally. Therefore, VHS-C format does not need to solve the problem of transliteration, but 8mm and Hi8 formats do, which is the trouble caused by the inconsistent format or the format not becoming a universal format.
