Sword Rain is a martial arts film in ancient costume, produced by John Woo, co-directed by Chao-Bin Su and starring Yang Ziqiong, Song Zhongyou, Wang Xueyin and Barbie Hsu. The film tells the story that Ceng Jing, a retired killer, wanted to live an ordinary life with Jiang Asheng, a young messenger in the town, but he was involved in a bloody case because he had a sacred object in the Jianghu.

Film evaluation:

The film is exquisite in photography, action, story and other aspects, and there are no big loopholes, but it lacks some new ideas and some routines. The rhythm control of Yang Ziqiong's and Zheng Yusen's literary dramas in movies also needs to be considered.
