Exposure problem. The automatic metering system is calibrated according to the medium gray tone. When the color tone of an object deviates greatly from the medium gray tone, the metering and exposure will be inaccurate, and the colors and details will look very different from the original ones.

When the subject is dark, the automatic metering/exposure system is prone to overexposure, light color and poor definition. In the same way, light tones are easily underexposed and look white and gray (it feels like the photo of white clothes in the picture is underexposed).

This problem can be easily solved by using a manual camera. For cameras with insufficient manual function, exposure compensation can be used, and for dark objects, negative exposure compensation and light color positive compensation can be used. The specific compensation amount should be determined by experiments.
