Brief introduction of Baotou medical college

Baotou Medical College was founded in 1958. In the song years, generations of doctors have been adhering to the school motto of "unity, dedication, truth-seeking and innovation", working with one heart and one mind, forging ahead, cultivating medical talents for the country and spreading healthy hope in the frontier of the motherland.

Baotou Medical College, as an early-established general undergraduate medical college in the frontier ethnic areas of New China, enrolled five-year undergraduate students majoring in clinical medicine in its founding year. 1959 and 196 1 were merged into Baotou medical college. 1965, changed to Baotou medical college.

1978 The Ministry of Education approved the restoration of Baotou Medical College. In June 2003, the Ministry of Education decided to merge Baotou Medical College with Baotou Institute of Iron and Steel and baotou teachers college to form Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology. In February 2005, Inner Mongolia People's Government approved Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology to be divided into three school-running entities with independent legal personality, and the school was named Baotou Medical College of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology.

The school is located in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which has the reputation of "Grassland Steel City" and "Rare Earth Capital". There are two campuses, Donghe and Qingshan. The school covers an area of 700,000 square meters with a building area of 30 1.500 square meters. After more than 60 years of construction and development, the school has now formed a multi-level school-running pattern of full-time undergraduate education, postgraduate education, continuing education and vocational education, as well as a discipline system with medicine as the mainstay and coordinated development of law, teaching, literature, science, management and engineering.

1997 passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the former State Education Commission, was rated as "excellent" by the undergraduate teaching level assessment of the Ministry of Education in 2008, was audited and evaluated by the Ministry of Education in 20 17, and passed the clinical medical professional certification of the Ministry of Education in 2020.
