In 2006, SVA's bachelor's degree offered courses in advertising, animation, comics, computer art, film and video, fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interior design, photography and visual and artistic criticism.

1983, the school opened the first postgraduate course in the field of pure art, covering graphic painting, sketch and sculpture. Since then, SVA has successively added eight other courses, namely art education, art criticism and writing, art therapy, computer art, design, digital photography, illustration, photography, video recording and related media.

In addition, the school also has courses in art history, humanities, science and other fields that do not provide degrees, and the further education department also provides courses with zero credits in most departments.
