Soft and lightweight cloth for photography

If you want to make the softest lighting with a good sense of package, the famous photographer Shane Hurlbut's "Page Lighting Skills" can help you control the lighting quality to the greatest extent without using the most expensive lighting equipment.

The so-called "page light" means that the light source is reflected by the light-emitting board and then further softened by the soft light cloth. The equipment needed for "page lighting" is light source, reflector and soft cloth. The angle between the light and the reflector is 45 degrees, and finally a soft light cloth is added. Their combination is like an open book, so it is named "Page Light".

You can increase the distance between the light source and the soft cloth to make the light softer. In the above example, the reflector becomes a light source instead of a lamp. The farther you adjust the position of the reflector, the softer the light you finally get. As can be seen from the video below, when the distance between the reflector and the soft cloth becomes larger, the shadow on your hand becomes softer and softer.

You can choose different reflectors and soft fabrics to create different types of light quality. If you have a double-layer soft light box and reflective umbrella, you can use it to replace the light source and reflective plate, and you can also get the same soft light and have a good sense of wrapping.
