Indoor photography is naturally difficult: due to insufficient light, it is difficult to produce good contrast on the subject. This problem is related to the fuselage, lens and shooting technology at the same time, and it is difficult to change it only by improving the lens. So even if the situation is 24-70, the effect is not much better.
My personal experience is:
1: among the three factors, the shooting skill should be improved first. For example, indoor shooting, artificial lighting, tripod and setting-off are all necessary. Specifically, artificial optical fiber and self-made large-area light boxes are both cheap and easy to use. Buy second-hand high-power lamps, replace them with new ones, and prepare several acrylic plates with the thickness of 1X 1 m ivory, 5 mm, to soften the lights. This is much better than a flash. Flash can only be used to fill the light, and at least two of them are hung outside the flash. If it is the main light source, it must be made into a monster.
2. Second, improve the fuselage. Why Quan Huafu is better than APS is mainly because there are fewer pixels per unit area. Therefore, in the case of weak light, the imaging unit will not actively increase the electrical characteristics to improve the sensitivity to ensure the contrast of the image. So the full-width machine has this advantage. In this sense, Nikon D700 is also a very good choice!
3: Finally, it is about the lens. To be sure, playing indoor portraits must be focused. Considering the price, it's 50/ 1.4. Fixed focus lens has a very high contrast and resolution because there are few lenses and few moving parts. Of course, a large aperture is an advantage that we all know. The F2 aperture of 50- 1.4 is absolutely available. Portraits don't necessarily need to be extremely blurred. On the contrary, portraits that are true and false and well controlled are attractive. In this sense, I have always opposed the use of white-this is just a tool for the studio to improve shooting efficiency.
The most perfect portrait configuration indoors is 5D2+50/ 1.4, and outdoor is 85/ 1.2. Even if there is no full-width machine for the time being, 50/ 1.4 can enter, and the cost performance is super high. 85/ 1.2 will also be the necessary finale weapon in the future. The effect is nothing compared with the zoom head. Of course, it is also my dream to make money on 200L in the future (this is contradictory to what I said just now, don't laugh at me).
To sum up, I suggest you go to 50/ 1.4 (the aperture is three steps larger than your existing head, so you will understand it after using it). Upper shadow lamp; Photometer (if you shoot a man, you need to accurately control the light ratio if you use strong light); Tripod and cable release. Don't put on 24-70 and flash money.

Fortunately, there is also the function of modifying the answer, otherwise it will be depressed.
I just want to say one thing: As far as I know, the landlord wants the characters to "shine" rather than "shine". If it's just lighting, cheaper flash lamps or more fluorescent lamps will have the same effect.
Answer the question with your heart! Brother.

The landlord writes modestly, which makes people feel kind. Say a few more words:
First, the lens. Why is fixed focus naturally better than zoom lens? When the light passes through the lens, it will naturally produce color difference and phase difference. Even the best lens can't be 100% transparent, and those reflected lights will be repeated between lenses, causing more trouble. Coating, multilayer coating and even fluorite lenses can solve these problems to some extent. However, there is another difficulty, that is, mechanical accuracy. But if there is one more lens, the accuracy will decrease by multiplication (note that it is the number of mechanical parts that needs to be investigated, not just the number of lenses). After all, there are several lenses in the zoom lens, and the chromatic aberration and mechanical accuracy are definitely limited; There is no such problem when focusing, because there are few lenses.
85/ 1.2 is the best head for several reasons: fixed focus and few lenses; Multi-layer coating technology ensures that there will be no obvious purple edge even under the maximum aperture; Especially the design of aspheric mirror ensures the consistency of radial and tangential resolution and contrast under large aperture. This is a very important point, which finally ensures the oiling effect of Jiao Wai; The last one, because it is a portrait head, when shooting a portrait, the shooting distance is determined by the viewing angle, and the shooting distance is just the best imaging range of this head.
As the saying goes, people don't know the goods, and money knows the goods. This statement is at least reasonable for the camera. Canon dares to bid such a high price as 85/ 1.2, and she is still very confident.
Talking about shooting skills. First of all, we should pay attention to the control of the aperture when taking portraits. Strictly speaking, F 1 1, F8, F4 and F2.8 should be used for 50 mm lens on APS frame (equivalent to 80 mm lens angle) respectively. On the Quan Huafu, if you use an 85mm lens, you should use F 1 1, F8, F5.6, F4. Almost all lenses, the aperture of F8-F5.6 is the best imaging range, so these two configurations are very suitable for taking busts and busts. On the other hand, this aperture matching method is not only based on the statistical results of several excellent photos, but also based on the calculation of depth of field function, that is, it can stand scrutiny in practice and theory.
After clarifying the principle of portrait aperture, indoor lighting can be said. Because of the brightness of indoor lighting, the above aperture value must be guaranteed. For example, if you want to use the aperture brightness of F2 (the shutter is calculated according to the reciprocal of the focal length), you have to shoot most of your body (in a dark environment), which is a bad start in itself, so don't expect any good results. Lighting can generally improve the brightness by one level, because for the later digital stage, a slightly overexposed photo with clear details is far better than a photo with normal exposure but blurred dark parts. In addition, the yellow skin of Asians will become white and lovely under the condition of a little overexposure. Specifically, snow-white skin uses normal brightness, black and yellow skin is overexposed by one level, and other intermediate skin values are between 0 and+1.
Finally, if you need different effects, such as Japan, Germany, LOMO and so on, don't adjust the camera up and down. The purpose of the camera is to get a clear image (excellent contrast, accurate color and clear details), and the style is left to PS.
I'm just saying, just because I like taking pictures. The landlord is free.
Best wishes.
