What does materialism mean? What does materialism mean?

1. Materialism is a basic view on ontology in philosophy.

2. Materialism has two cores: one is matter and the other is consciousness; two major laws: materialist monism (the principle of the unity of world matter) and the principle of the dialectical relationship between matter and consciousness.

3. Matter is a philosophical category of objective reality. This objective reality is perceived by people and does not exist dependent on our feelings. It is copied, photographed and reflected by our feelings.

4. Consciousness is an approximate and active reflection of objective existence. Any consciousness is a projection of objective existence, and its prototype can be found from objective reality. That is, without the reflected, there is no reflector.

5. Between consciousness and matter, matter determines consciousness, and consciousness is the reflection of the objective world in the human brain. The objective world is independent of consciousness, and subjective initiative is different from other life consciousnesses.

6. Materialism. Marxism believes that materialism is one of the two basic factions of philosophy. It is opposed to idealism. It advocates that matter is the first nature and spirit is the second nature on basic philosophical issues. The origin of the world is matter, and spirit is the projection and reflection of matter.
