The mysterious Shambhala, only the pure-hearted can enter.
On the snowy plateau, in the beautiful Wotang, Xue Ji, people built a magnificent palace with gold and granite. From 1300, Weasion Wei stood tall and went straight into the sky. Some people say that its underground can lead to the pure land of Shambhala, which is the magical Potala Palace.
Wotang, Xue Ji, a place name, means lush aquatic plants in Tibetan, which is today's Lhasa. This is its nickname. It was always called this before Gambu built the Potala Palace. Potala Palace is built on the red hill in the northwest, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It is the tallest palace in the world and the most mysterious palace.
Qianxi palace
It is the closest palace to the sky, with an altitude of 3700 meters, built on the mountain.
In the 7th century, in order to strengthen the management of the expanding country, Ganbu moved the city here and built this palace with a golden roof and white walls. It can be seen that the grassland eagle of nomadic tribes is ambitious.
However, his descendants did not escape the spell of kingship, and in the end, domestic and foreign countries were torn apart. The palace was destroyed in the war, leaving only a small part. Now it is the French King Cave where Ganbu and Princess Gongbu are located, and it is the place where Ganbu practiced and spoke in those years.
It was not until 800 years later that the Fifth Dalai Lama reunited the tribes and established a unified Gedanpozhang dynasty. 1645, he rebuilt it on the original basis, which is the Potala Palace White House today. During the construction, a black whirlwind blows around the auspicious Tianmu, which is auspicious.
Seven years later, he went to Beijing to meet the emperor shunzhi, and was conferred the title of "Dalai Lama". At the same time, the reincarnation system of the living Buddha was also recognized by the Qing government, so the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama and the living Buddha has been used to this day.
For the next 30 years, this talented and respected great virtue managed Tibet in Potala Palace and wrote works until his death in 1682. Eight years later, in order to commemorate him, people built the Red Palace on the basis of the White House, and built the Lingta Hall in the Red Palace to store his body.
Since then, every Dalai Lama has built a stupa for him in the Red Palace after his death. At the top of each stupa, there is a golden dome.
However, one Dalai Lama failed to enter the Red Palace, Cangyang Gyatso and the Sixth Dalai Lama after his death. He is also a clever man. However, he was born at an untimely time and was involved in the political struggle between Lazang Khan and Sang Jiejia Cuo. He was abandoned at the age of 22. In the second year, on the way to Beijing, he died of illness in Qinghai and was buried in the sky.
It's his love poem, and it's returned to the Tathagata and settled. However, years have lived up to his talent, and his poems have flown in all directions from the snowy plateau, and together with the Potala Palace, they have become the treasures of Tibetan culture.
Gold treasure
There is a saying among Tibetans that the Potala Palace uses half the gold in the world. Although this statement is a bit exaggerated, the glittering golden dome, the ubiquitous golden decoration, and the gold-plated and silver-plated artworks do use a lot of gold.
Golden, golden and bright, is regarded as the embodiment of the sun and the symbol of the gods.
The Potala Palace has seven golden domes, made of gold-plated bronze tiles, which contrast with the gold-plated buildings and emit mysterious holy light.
There are eight pagodas in Potala Palace, the largest of which belongs to the Fifth Dalai Lama. The pagoda is nearly 15 meters high and is five stories high. The tower is made of precious materials such as gold and silver. The tower is inlaid with 37,265,438+0 kilograms of gold, and there are more than 65,438+05,000 pearls, agates and precious stones.
Several other pagodas, although not so high, also use a lot of gold and jewels, which are priceless. They contain the body of the Dalai Lama and are the most sacred places in the hearts of believers.
The statues enshrined in Potala Palace are also inlaid with gold, which naturally creates a Buddhist realm in people's hearts when they worship.
Many precious scrolls and thangkas are also made of gold, and the eight treasures of the Tripitaka "Danzhuer" is one of them. The scriptures in it are copied from the juice made of eight materials, such as gold and turquoise.
There is also one of the most precious scriptures, the Bayeux Sutra, written on the leaves of the Bodhi tree. Now India has disappeared, but Tibet's unique climatic conditions have preserved it and made it an orphan in the world.
The gold seals and albums issued by the Qing government are also made of gold. Among them, the gold seal of the Fifth Dalai Lama weighs 8 kilograms, and there are four languages on it: Manchu, Chinese, Mongolian and Tibetan.
Walking in the Potala Palace, a lot of gold is also used in murals and paintings everywhere. Being in it is like walking in the golden world.
Gold makes the Potala Palace shine and adds mystery to it, because it is a fascinating place in the hearts of Tibetans. In the eyes of the world, it is the center of the world and may contain many unknown secrets.
unsolved mystery
There are many mysteries in Potala Palace. Let's start with its room.
Generally speaking, the number of rooms in a palace or building is very clear, but no one can tell the number of rooms in Potala Palace, especially its underground palace. Because the whole project is built on the mountain, the mountain has different shapes at different heights, so in order to take advantage of the support of the mountain, many underground buildings of different sizes have been built according to the situation, and even the managers there can hardly count how many rooms there are.
According to records, when Gambu first built the Potala Palace, * * * designed 999 rooms, which, together with the practice room at the top of the mountain, made a total of 1 000 rooms. However, there is no relevant record in the process of reconstruction and addition, which has become a mystery.
Even more fascinating is the legend that Shambhala can be reached under the Potala Palace.
Shambhala, commonly known as Shangri-La, is an English transliteration of Tibetan. It is described in the scriptures collected in Potala Palace, and the sixth Panchen Lama personally wrote a guide to the kingdom of Shambhala. So some people speculate that the monks in Potala Palace are the gatekeepers at the entrance to Shambhala Kingdom. What's going on here?
According to the secret method of the diamond wheel, the kingdom of Shambhala is hidden somewhere deep in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The whole kingdom is surrounded by double snow-capped mountains and consists of eight lotus petal-shaped areas. The snow-capped mountains stand in the center, which is called Karaba Palace, and the supreme leader of Shambhala Kingdom lives here. It is a paradise with highly developed civilization, a place full of love and wisdom, where only people with pure hearts can live.
The shape of this kingdom is just an altar city. It is said that Master Lotus Peanut once lived here and buried it.

Nicholas Lorich
Nicholas Lorich is a famous Russian artist.
1923 In March, Nicholas Lorich, who has been obsessed with the legend of Shambhala for a long time, and his wife and son organized an expedition of more than 20 people, starting from Darjeeling, India, crossing the Himalayas, and trekking in the high mountains and valleys according to the legendary guidance to find evidence of the existence of Shambhala.
Now, there is a road map of his trip in the Soviet museum. He crossed Central Asia from Tibet to Moscow, then crossed Altai Mountain and returned to the Himalayas. In that era of unstable international situation, this route filled many people with doubts.
So, did Nicholas Lorich find the entrance to Shambhala? He didn't make it clear, but he calmly sorted out the information afterwards.
Just as he was about to finish his trip, another explorer hit the road.
Joseph Charles Francis Rock
Austrian explorer Joseph Charles Francis Rock.
1928 At the beginning of this year, he came to China as an explorer, writer and photographer in the National Geographic magazine, the US Department of Agriculture and the Plant Research Institute of Harvard University, and made a survey along the way from Muli to Daocheng Aden. Later, he published an illustrated documentary article in National Geographic magazine.
This article caught the attention of an Englishman and inspired him. He wrote a book and created the word "Shangri-La" in English, which was included in the dictionary of British writers. His name is james hilton.

1In April, 933, inspired by Joseph Charles Francis Rock's travel notes, he wrote the novel "The Lost Horizon", which tells the story of four westerners who broke into the Blue Moon Valley in the mountainous area of Tibet due to a plane crash and entered Shangri-La under the guidance of a Lama.
In his book, he said that this is a peaceful and happy paradise on earth, where there are emerald grasslands, mirror-like lakes, rich gold mines, beautiful Lama temples and temples of other sects. Everything is immersed in the joy of tranquility. People living here live a long life and are in harmony with nature. Everyone's life is surrounded by happiness.
The Lama Temple dominates the whole valley and forms the kingdom of Shangri-La. The residents there are mainly Tibetans. Although they have different beliefs and customs, they are very friendly to each other. There, when dealing with the relationship between various sects, nationalities, people and nature, they all abide by the virtue of "golden mean". Excessiveness and inferiority are sins, and only moderation is perfect.
Many wonderful things have happened in Shangri-La. The most surprising thing is that time is meaningless here. Residents live a long life, and many people 100 years old are still young. The Supreme Lama is over 250 years old and has been in charge of Shangri-La for 100 years. However, once people there leave the valley, they will quickly lose their youth and aging until they die.
At that time, it was in the gap between the two world wars that the book "Lost Horizon" became a painkiller for many people. It won the famous Hawthorne Literature Award in that year, and was later made into a movie by Hollywood, ranking first at the box office for three consecutive years. It was at this time that Nicholas Lorich published his book The Glory of Shambhala.
In this book, he said: Shambhala is exactly the same as described in ancient legends. It is a place similar to a concentric circle, surrounded by endless snow-capped mountains, with many mysterious scenes. The people who live there are all iridescent bodies with high IQ and great love. It is an unimaginable, extremely advanced and harmonious civilized world, and its entrance can only be found by special people.
After a big circle, I returned to the description in the Tibetan scriptures. In fact, Zhu Rinpoche said so in his book The Wheel of Life and Death.
Shambhala kingdom is a real place on earth for us. It is protected by a magic, rich and peaceful, with highly developed and advanced technology. We can't go, we can't see it and we don't know where it is.
Based on the data of 227 East Asian earthquakes collected in 2007-20 1 1, the research teams of China, the United States and Canada drew 3D tomographic images of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at a depth of ***900 kilometers on the ground and underground. The results show that there are huge cavities under the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
Just under the Qin Snow Mountain in Anima, one of the sacred mountains, the sag area reached 10- 15000 square meters, and experts speculated that there might be an underground ocean there.
Later, further research found that the rock inside the cave has extremely high conductivity, and scientists can't give a reasonable explanation for this high conductivity rock structure at present.
Therefore, some people speculate whether there are activities similar to human life there, and if so, is it possible to have the Shambhala Kingdom? If so, who will be chosen to go there? No one can answer this question. Shangri-La is still synonymous with "mystery".
During World War II, President Roosevelt was asked: Where did planes bomb Japan?
Roosevelt solemnly said, "From Shangri-La ..." The stem of Shangri-La is still circulating today.
