The role of composition in landscape photography
Charm of composition
Composition is the skeleton of a photo. When composing a composition, if a subject and background are evenly distributed, the picture will not be too beautiful. When shooting a landscape, the composition should be centered on the landscape and set off by a subject in the landscape. For example, when shooting blue sea and snow-capped mountains, priority should be given to the sea and snow-capped mountains in composition, so that they occupy a prominent position in the picture. To do this, we must choose a suitable shooting angle.
1, to express the depth of the picture in terms of angle.
For example, when shooting a road, it is very important to explain the location and scale of the road clearly in the composition. On this basis, in order to show the depth of the road, it is necessary to choose a suitable angle, so that one end of the road extends straight or winding to the distance, and the viewer's line of sight also leads to the far end of the road and the end of the sky, so that the picture is attractive. If only the middle paragraph is intercepted in the composition, the audience will not see the depth of the picture and lack the elements to attract the audience's attention.
Don't let the middle scene block the foreground.
When using vertical composition, we should pay attention to the proportion of sky and ground scenery in the picture. If you want to represent the sky, the sky should be the focus of the picture, which can generally account for about 3/5 of the picture and the ground scenery can account for about 2/5. In addition, there must be a small part of weak vision in the ground scenery to avoid seeing only the close shot and the middle shot. In other words, don't let the outline of the middle scene completely block the foreground. The ground scenery in the picture has a vague vision, which can echo the vast sky from a distance and connect heaven and earth, so that the picture has a strong sense of depth. To achieve the above goals, we must choose a suitable angle. If the angle is too low, there will only be close shot and middle shot in the picture, but there will be no long shot. Under normal circumstances, you need to shoot a suitable angle to let the field of vision on the ground enter the picture. In order to express the three-dimensional sense of the ground scene, side light should be used when shooting, so that different degrees of shadows appear on one side of the scene.
3. Appropriate "vividness"
Pay attention to the relationship between motion and static when shooting scenery. Although landscape photos can take pictures without people and vehicles, such as inaccessible snow-capped mountains, deserts and peaks, these are in line with the natural environment of the subject. However, if shooting in densely populated areas, it is best to have people, driving vehicles and other subjects in the picture. Without these themes, it would be a bit dull and lifeless to express only simple scenery. When shooting similar scenes, people and vehicles are the foil of the scene. When composing a composition, these subjects should be arranged in the middle position, and the proportion of the picture should be small, so that it is between the close shot and the long shot. This composition not only conforms to the environment where people or vehicles are located, but also makes viewers feel more comfortable.
4. Contrast between light and shade
When shooting the scenery with soft light in the morning and evening, in order to highlight the close shot and the middle shot, you can choose a darker background, which will have a very eye-catching effect compared with the bright close shot and the middle shot. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to choose a suitable position and angle, so that the bright close shot and middle shot are just in the dark background. Against the dark background, the bright details of the near middle scene will be very clear. The lights were still bright before sunset. For example, when shooting in sidelight, the reeds, trains and overhead lines in the foreground are all illuminated by strong light, which is very clear and eye-catching against the dark background, and the picture is very infectious.
When you look through the viewfinder and indulge in the charming scenery in front of you, you will think that this will be a really valuable scenery photo. Think about it carefully, in fact, the shooting angle you use is only a point in a 360-degree circle around the subject. How can you be sure that only this position you choose is the best shooting angle, and it is not anywhere else? A photographer put forward the concept of "circular thinking". In order to find the best shooting angle, the circle walking around the subject does not have to be horizontal. It may be a high hillside or a pebble beach by the river. When we are in the embrace of nature, our eyes are full of scenery and chaos. Those should be deleted and those should be selected. As for the location and the best angle of the scene, we can't make a hasty decision. We need to be patient and try all the shooting angles. Huang, a painter, said, "To visit the mountains and play with water, we should not only move the sky, but also calm the old monk." It means that we should have great enthusiasm for the scenery in front of us, walk around tirelessly, observe, discover, think and know the scenery in front of us, so as to understand these scenery. I think photography is the same, trying to find the charm of composition and light hiding in landscape photography. ......

What is the prospect in photographic composition?
Let's learn about the prospects first.
Generally, in photographic painting, the scene near the camera position is called foreground. The main features of foreground are usually better imaging and deeper relative contrast. The foreground is generally located at the west edge of the frame. The general foreground can collect trees, branches and leaves, flowers and plants, and sometimes objects. Sometimes the companion in the painting can also be used as the foreground.
Front desk work:
1, the foreground will first strengthen the sense of space and perspective of the picture. Because of the position relationship of the foreground, obvious shape or tone relationship will generally be formed in the distant scenery, so as to enhance the spatial distance of painting and strengthen the perspective relationship in depth.
2, can better guide and highlight the main content. Among these themes, the content that needs to be highlighted can be placed in the foreground to strengthen the content of the painting. Enhance the visual sense of the picture.
3. The foreground can form a good relationship with the background content. In photography, this kind of jokes often get into the right content and form a thought-provoking theme.
4. Foreground can enhance the sense of status and decoration of painting. When some buildings, such as doors and windows, have bright prospects, the audience can feel the shortening of painting distance, and the production is more deeply influenced by art. At the same time, using some regularly arranged objects and some graphics as the foreground will also enhance the decorative effect of painting.
5. The foreground can set off the subject. When choosing flowers and trees in the foreground, it can better reflect the seasonal and regional characteristics. Integration into the main body can be a good foil.
6. Foreground can balance painting or create illusory beauty. Branches, leaves and railings can balance the monotony of painting and play a stable and balanced painting effect. In addition, the blurred foreground outside the depth of field will better reflect the beauty of space compression and hazy artistic conception.
