How to choose a digital camera?

1. Appearance: Considering that we use it in daily life or travel, portability and appearance comfort are necessary. When choosing, in addition to the beautiful appearance, we should also consider the comfort of holding, the convenience of commonly used buttons, and whether we can complete some simple operations with one hand.

2. Pixel: For many friends who have not studied photography professionally, there is a big misunderstanding that the bigger the pixel of a home digital camera, the better, which is incorrect. Many studio wedding photographers or commercial product photographers know that the factors that determine the quality of photos are not just the size of pixels. Generally, 800W pixels is enough. For common digital cameras, it is much larger than this pixel, so don't worry at all.

3. Focal length: This is a professional concept, which is simply the distance that the camera can shoot. The focal length is also one of the important factors that we should consider when choosing a digital camera. Everyone likes shots from wide angle to telephoto, and merchants will say that zooming is 5 times 10 times to attract you, which means that the bigger the zoom, the farther the lens can shoot. This is a big misunderstanding, for the lens, the greater the focal length span, the worse the lens quality. Of course, this is very important in SLR cameras used by professional photographers; If you use it in daily life, the general focal length is enough, so don't worry too much. After all, you can't change the lens.

4. Aperture: Aperture controls light. When the external light is weak, you need to use a larger aperture to get normal exposure, and the photos will be very dark and even noisy. When your focal length changes, the aperture will change, and sometimes you can't open it to the maximum aperture. It's not that we can't solve this problem, but we need to spend more money, but it will exceed our budget. Then the advice for everyone is to choose a larger aperture when choosing a digital camera; Another is to try to use a wide-angle focal length when shooting.

5. Functions: Many friends often ask me which functions I should look at when choosing a digital camera, because there are too many functions of digital cameras now, which makes people see things in a blur and I don't know how to choose. In fact, most functions are not needed at all, or you don't need them. In short, most of them are useless. It is true that smart phones now have many shooting functions, not to mention digital cameras. When you choose a digital camera, the general merchant will directly tell you to use a certain gear, such as P gear, which is the automatic gear. It is the simplest and stupidest mode that everyone can operate. There are also slightly professional AV and TV files, and some digital cameras also have the most professional M files. But in order to make good use of these functions, it is necessary to learn some photography knowledge. (You can reply to the four words in brackets of the keyword shooting mode and see my previous article about camera mode. ) I suggest you pay attention to continuous shooting, selfie, macro, flash, automatic mode and other common functions.

6. Peripherals: Peripherals refer to some necessary items except cameras, such as camera bags, batteries, memory cards, etc. If you pack it, the general manufacturer will give it away, and everyone feels safe and convenient. Battery manufacturers will give away one piece. If you want to travel for a long time or often need to take a lot of photos, I suggest you buy another one as a backup. Be sure to buy the original. The same is true for memory cards. If you go out often or need to take a lot of photos, it is recommended to buy another spare one, the size is 8G, and it would be better if it is 16G. Even if you are busy and have no time to copy photos to your computer, you can store many photos and use them for a long time.

7, WIFI function: Now some cameras mainly have WIFI function, which can wirelessly connect to the network to transmit photos. It looks cool and awesome, but it's not necessary. In some extreme cases, and the number of photos is small, you can do this. If you need to upload or copy a lot of photos, it will crash, and the speed is still very slow and inconvenient. It's better to copy directly with a card reader, which is fast and cool.

8. Card reader: This is a necessary tool for traveling or shooting at home. You must buy a better quality one. Even if you use more than a dozen pieces, it will break. After taking photos, you can quickly copy the free version (deleted version) to your computer, save it and upload it to the network. In addition, it is recommended to prepare a good quality USB data cable. When there is no card reader, you can use a data cable to connect a computer to copy photos.
