Materials used in model photography

Photographic models can be made of various materials, such as metal, wood, plastic, rubber, gypsum, leather, cardboard and glass. The scale of model reduction or enlargement depends on the nature of model activities, photography methods and the clarity of pictures. In order to make the film realistic, we must pay strict attention to the scale and surface texture when making the model, carefully manipulate the movement of the model and choose a reasonable shooting speed when shooting. When shooting small dynamic models alone, use high-speed photography. When shooting a model with uniform motion of a free-falling body, the required shooting speed is generally calculated according to the following formula: shooting speed = standard shooting speed (24 frames per second) multiplied by the square root of the model scale. In practical application, the shooting speed can also be increased or decreased according to the environmental conditions of the model and the rhythm of the film.
