2. Introduction to Hebei University of Communication

Hebei University of Communication is a private, full-time higher education institution that focuses on media arts and is compatible with multiple disciplines such as art, literature, engineering, management, and education. The school is registered with the Ministry of Education and its school code is 12784.

The school was founded in 2000 and is composed of representatives of the 12th National People’s Congress, the 8th National Superintendent of Schools, a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th Hebei Provincial People’s Congress, vice president of the China Private Education Association, and chairman of the Elite Group Founded by and president Mr. Zhai Zhihai. In 2007, he was promoted to bachelor's degree, and in 2011 he was qualified to enroll professional master's degree students. In 2013, he began to jointly train doctoral students with the China Academy of Art. In 2015, it was identified as a “transformation development” pilot university by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education. In 2020, it was named a "Transformation Development Demonstration School" by Hebei Province and passed the undergraduate teaching review and evaluation of the Ministry of Education.

There are currently three campuses: Xing'an Campus, Jing'an Campus and Luquan Campus. It has the School of Film and Television Arts, the School of Journalism and Communication, the School of Art and Design, the School of Dance Art, the School of Performing Arts, the School of Art and Sports, the School of Digital Art and Animation, the School of Music, the School of Information Technology and Cultural Management, the School of International Communication, and the Football School. Radio and television directing, recording art, broadcasting and hosting art are national first-class undergraduate majors, network and new media, drama, film and television art design, leisure sports, photography, performance, visual communication design, radio and television studies, dance choreography, film and television photography and Production, network engineering, and digital media art are the first-class undergraduate majors in Hebei Province. It has a 1,200-square-meter studio, a 400-square-meter integrated media studio, a panoramic studio, a virtual studio, a special photography laboratory, a mixing studio, a foley studio, and a pre-mixing studio. etc. to reach the domestic and industry advanced level.

The library has more than 1.93 million Chinese and foreign paper books, 2.39 million electronic books, and 37,000 Chinese and foreign paper journals and electronic journals. The Wanfang Data knowledge service platform, China National Knowledge Infrastructure CNKI database, Chaoxing Huiya e-book, Imagination Star e-book, Founder Apabi e-book, eBo online and other databases are available for readers to use 24 hours a day. We built our own unique resource database, introduced the Chaoxing Mobile Library APP, and opened a WeChat public platform to provide services such as using electronic resources on mobile phones, browsing various library service information, querying collections, and online renewals. Fixed electronic resource reading platforms such as the Chaoxing Goethe e-book lending machine and the eBo online touch screen comprehensive display system have been installed.
