Leave Linjiang and come to Ji 'an, the last stop of this trip to Jilin border. Ji 'an is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, facing North Korea across the Yalu River, and has always been one of the three major ports from China to North Korea. In Ji 'an, the Laoling Mountains formed a huge natural barrier from northeast to southwest, resisting the cold wind from the north, making the warm and humid ocean air flow upstream along the Yalu River, creating a humid and mild climate in Ji 'an, so Ji 'an also had the resounding title of "Little Jiangnan in Northeast China".

Ji 'an City is bounded by Yalu River, facing Manpu City, Cijiang Road, North Korea across the river. The Yalu River border railway bridge spans Bibo, connecting Meiji Railway in China and North Korea Railway, and is known as "the shortest international train railway line in the world". Ji 'an Yalu River Border Railway Bridge 1939 completed. During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, this bridge was the main artery for volunteers to cross the river and provide logistics. A total of 420,000 volunteers, 6,543.8+072,000 stretchers and 6,543.8+05,000 vehicles rushed across the Yalu River from here, and the Arc de Triomphe, which returned home after the victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, is also located here. The Yalu River Railway Bridge in Ji 'an has made great contributions to the victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and is known as the "First Bridge to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea". There is a rare four-story bunker at the bridge head, which was built to guard the bridge during the Japanese occupation of the three northeastern provinces. During the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, they volunteered to use this place as an air defense fort to attack American planes that bombed the bridge indiscriminately. Now, Ji 'an is one of the three major railway ports with North Korea, and the Yalu River border railway bridge plays a huge role in trade with North Korea.

Not far from the Yalu River Railway Bridge is the newly-built border crossing of Ji 'an Highway Port. It is the border crossing with the largest overall span and the highest construction standard in Northeast China, and is known as "the first country in Northeast China". Walking along the trail by the river, you can see the white border gate of Ji 'an Highway Port standing by the river. Standing on the port building, you can clearly see the architecture and natural scenery of Manpu City, North Korea. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Yalu River, the exotic customs on the border between China and North Korea, and more importantly, the solemnity of the country. The Ji 'an-Manpu Boundary River Highway Bridge between China and North Korea under the national gate of the port spans the Yalu River, and the other side of the bridge is Manpu City, North Korea. The Ji 'an-Manpu Boundary River Highway Bridge between China and North Korea is different from other boundary river bridges. It is the only highway bridge on the Yalu River aided by North Korea, so it also has special significance.

To talk about the scenic spots in Ji 'an, Wunvfeng National Forest Park should be one of the must-see attractions besides the Guomen Scenic Spot on the Yalu River. Wunvfeng National Forest Park is located on the Yalu River in the southeast of Jilin Province. Among the Laoling Mountains at the southern foot of Changbai Mountain, five peaks are the most spectacular, hence the name. Because of the itinerary, it was already late when I arrived at Wunvfeng. I walked along the road in the forest and looked around. The vegetation was rich and green everywhere. The stream along the mountain road is crystal clear and the sound of water is roaring, but it is a waterfall. After a short walk, I suddenly saw a low house in the dense forest with a stone mill in front of it. Upon inquiry, it was learned that this was originally the secret camp of the First Route Army of Northeast Anti-Union during the Anti-Japanese War. The so-called secret camp is a secret camp set up by anti-United fighters in the steep terrain and lush forests in the mountains, which is characterized by small dispersion and strong concealment. The Secret Battalion is an important support for the Anti-Japanese Guerrilla War in the mountainous areas led by General Yang Jingyu, and plays an important role in the history of the Anti-Japanese War in Northeast China.

My time in Ji 'an was short, but before I set off, I managed to squeeze in some time to see the Koguryo Wanshou Mausoleum, which was highly recommended by local friends. Changshou Mausoleum is located at the foot of Longshan in the northeast of Ji 'an City. It is the tomb of the 20th King Changshou of Koguryo, with a history of 1500 years. It is the most complete stone mausoleum in existence, in the shape of a frustum of a cone, and has the reputation of "Oriental Pyramid". Mausoleum is a stepped stone tomb with a square altar, which is made of more than 1 100 finely cut granite stones. The middle of the boulder is filled with river pebbles. In order to offset the outward tension caused by its own weight, there are 1 1 huge stones weighing more than 10 around the tomb foundation ring. There are many buried tombs in the northeast of the tomb, and there are sacrificial places 200 meters southwest. Changshou Mausoleum is the pinnacle of Koguryo Jishi Mausoleum, with perfect design and exquisite stone-making technology.

Not far from Changshou Mausoleum, the monument of King Haotai is the tombstone of King Haotai of Koguryo19th generation, whose land is wider than Guogang. It is one of the largest existing stone monuments in China, and is known as "the first ancient monument in Haidong". The monument to the king is roughly composed of breccia tuff, slightly in the shape of a square column, and is engraved with the inscription of China official script on all sides. It is the earliest existing archaeological historical data of Koguryo with the largest number of words, which has high archaeological value, academic value and artistic value. The discovery of the Monument to the King of Tai Hao confirms that the Koguryo civilization and its center, which have been forgotten by the world since the Middle Ages, occupy an important position in the archaeological remains of Northeast Asia. However, it is worth noting that in order to protect the "Great King's Monument", it is forbidden to take pictures indoors, so it can only be taken outdoors. Fortunately, the wall is glass.
