Brief introduction of Panyu District Library

Panyu District Library was established in 1959, and the new library was completed and opened in 1987, covering an area of 4,000 square meters. Panyu District Library is a comprehensive public library, whose main task is to spread scientific and cultural knowledge to people in Panyu District, especially teenagers, and to serve teaching, production and scientific research. Elegant environment, equipped with advanced supporting equipment, using computer automatic management and full open shelf lending. There are more than 400,000 books in the library, and the collection structure is mainly scientific, practical and popular. A huge readership has been formed, and the number of readers received each year has remained above 250,000.

The windows of the library serving readers are: book lending room, newspaper lending room, electronic reading room, children lending room, reference reading room, reading room for the elderly and disabled, study room, exhibition hall and lecture hall. The exhibition hall is located on the second floor of the library, with an indoor area of 260 square meters and a line of 60 meters. It can be used to hold various paintings, photography and various physical exhibitions.
