How to distinguish Baiqi Village in Putian Black Banner
In ancient Putian, local officials divided two neighboring villages into "Black Flag Village" and "White Flag Village" for the convenience of governance and management. Villages with the same flag are considered as friendly villages, while villages with different flags become enemy villages. This distinction led to the fierce struggle between ancient black flag village and white flag village, but it also safeguarded the interests of the rulers.
