Benxi County is known as the hometown of maple leaves in China. Every autumn, it is the largest maple leaf viewing area in China. Colorful red maple shines brightly in the beautiful mountains and rivers, drawing a magical natural watercolor painting. The county has successively implemented the renovation and development of Guanmen Mountain, Dashi Lake Laobiangou, Tiesha Mountain, Lvyan Valley, Longdaogou and other scenic spots. Maple viewing routes in the east include Tieshan Mountain, Longdaogou, Laobiangou, Dashi Lake and Zhonghua Maple Leaf Road. This route not only has early, gorgeous and pungent maple leaves, but also has beautiful natural landscape and rich folk customs, so that you can not only enjoy the high-grade maple leaf landscape, but also taste the unique local cuisine. The maple leaf viewing spots on the southern line include Guanmenshan National Forest Park, Guanshan Lake Scenic Area, Guanmenshan Ecological Grand Canyon, tanggou Green Stone Valley, etc. This route has the richest tourism content, including enjoying the heroic spirit of "King of Maple", enjoying the wonderful singing of bluestone and red maple, boating on the mountain and lake, bathing in hot springs in tanggou, staying in Yushang Zhuoyuan, Yunxi Qiyang and Qiao Feng B&B for one night.

Among the best tourist routes, Benxi County mainly recommends Xiaoshi Yizhuang, Guanmen Mountain, Tiesha Mountain, Laobiangou Scenic Area and Huaxi Wood Hot Spring Resort. Among them, Guanmenshan National Forest Park is a national 4A-level scenic spot. There is a famous maple leaf viewing area here, and there is a saying that "the mountains and rivers are as beautiful as Guilin, and the water in the south of the Yangtze River is green and the peaks are green". Laobiangou Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot, and Dashi Lake is one of the scenic spots in Laobiangou Scenic Area, with many natural landscapes such as Jushichuan, Vientiane Valley and Phoenix Peak. In autumn, the maple leaf landscape here is very prominent. The mountains are all red and the forests are all dyed. It has the desire to compete with the red leaves of Xiangshan, and is rated as the most beautiful "Maple Leaf" scenic spot in Liaoning. The total area of Guanshan Lake Scenic Area is more than 30 square kilometers, of which the water surface area is more than 3,000 mu, with rippling blue waves and beautiful scenery. Playing with ice and snow, soaking in hot springs and drinking mutton soup here are enjoyable and fascinating.
