Introduction to the work:

The starting point is Mr. Wu Wang's filming in Ethiopia, the East African Plateau in recent years. Ethiopia is the origin and starting point of mankind. 1974 Australopithecus afarensis fossils found in Ethiopia. Its date of life was determined by the scientific community as 3.2 million years ago, and it was called "the grandmother of mankind". Therefore, the origin of mankind is recognized by scientists as Africa.

Mr. Wu Wang, a photographer, has traveled to this starting point of mankind for many times, with a journey of more than 20,000 kilometers and a cumulative shooting time of more than 60 days. He shot 300G digital film, and the camera shutter with a service life of 300 thousand times died because of shooting. Photographic teams, including photographers, tour guides, drivers, translators and armed bodyguards, have left footprints in Ethiopia's vast mountains and jungles, from modern airplanes and off-road vehicles to camels and donkeys, riding and hiking, and from plateaus to valleys. Adventure, camping, shooting conditions are extremely difficult, overcoming difficulties that ordinary people can't overcome. Throughout the shooting process, experience and feelings, the author recorded 6.5438+0.2 million words of shooting notes. According to these shooting notes, China Photography Publishing House recently published the book Naive Photographer, which introduced the author's shooting process in detail. The book is full of pictures and texts, including 82 photos, and the content is humorous. Mr. Wu Wang reflected on the booming African photography and overseas photography with a self-deprecating and ironic style, and restored the African scene with a simple and sincere shooting style. Compared with the African images taken by western photographers for a long time, these images have removed the rigid African faces and the inherent image patterns such as poverty, hunger, plague and war, and their works are intriguing. Ms Zhao, president of China Photography Publishing House, called it "fireworks" in the preface to the curation of Starting Point.

This exhibition is jointly planned by China Photography Publishing House and The Naive Photographer. This is another video exhibition about Africa after Mr. Wu Wang's Biology. Most of the works were shot recently. The exhibition time is 201165438+10.6 to 20165438+/kloc-0.0/0.2, and the exhibition place is the 15th China International Photography Art Exhibition (Zhejiang Lishui Museum).

The Ethiopian Plateau in East Africa is recognized by scientists as the place where human ancestors originated and lived. That's where the ancestors stood up, set out and multiplied all over the earth.

Black skin, yellow skin, white skin, brown skin, human family, the world family. A seed eventually turned into fertile soil.

Photographer Wu Wang visited the birthplace and starting point of human ancestors several times, listened to drums and chanting, and tasted Ingila's delicious food. Photography team, including local tour guides, drivers, translators, armed bodyguards, etc. From modern four-wheel drive off-road vehicles to camels and donkeys, riding and walking, looking for obscure paths, crossing jungles and barren hills, and reaching the residence of aborigines. Like hard-working anthropologists, they observe the mountains, rivers and creatures here with their cameras, and present an Ethiopia full of fireworks to you and me one by one.

Today, people from Asia, Europe, America and Oceania, can you see my shadow in your distant eyes when the descendants of our ancestors meet in front of the image of the place where our ancestors started through time and space?

Don't despise other creatures, even the same kind, because of your religion, race, color, wealth and knowledge. 20 10 solo exhibition "Dream Heron-Behavior and Emotion" was exhibited at the 10th China Pingyao International Photography Exhibition.

In 2005, I began to set foot in bird photography, and in 2008, I began to study and photograph egrets, recording and interpreting the spiritual world of egrets with the language of photography and human emotions.
