What is flowers of war about?

Nanjing from 65438 to 0937 was brutal and devastated by Japanese troops, but a church hosted by international friends was still a pure land for the time being. Several clergy took in a group of Jinling female college students hiding in the church, 13 prostitutes on the Qinhuai River who escaped from the war, and six wounded soldiers from the dead. * * * In the face of the story of the worst massacre in history, the most "despicable" woman in 13 became a hero to protect everyone.

In this relatively closed space, they * * * faced the most terrible and inhuman massacre in history and had all kinds of wonderful feelings. However, the church is not a pure land forever, and the Japanese army finally rushed in here. The wounded soldiers were killed, and female college students were about to be taken away by the Japanese army for humiliation.

At this moment, these 13 women, who were usually regarded as lowly, were inspired by the cruel butcher's knife of the invaders: they wore singing robes and took scissors instead of the female students in the church to attend the Japanese Christmas celebration and went to a tragic death pact. Finally, except Yumo, 13 women survived.

Yan Geling once made it clear that the theme source of flowers of war is Hua Tuo's Diary and Jiang Gonggu's March. Ms. vautrin also appeared directly in flowers of war under the name "Whitlin". "When writing for Zhang Yimou, I collected a lot of new information about the Nanjing Massacre.

My father's uncle Jiang Gong was a medical officer of the Kuomintang Ministry of Health during the Nanjing Massacre. After he evacuated most of the wounded soldiers from Nanjing, he stayed in Nanjing. He keeps a diary.

Later, his descendants published this diary called March in Beijing. In addition, Zhang Chunru, a Chinese-American woman writer, also inspired her a lot by her historical work Nanjing Massacre: The Forgotten World War II Massacre (1997).
