Why do movies always use green cloth instead of other colors?

Many sci-fi movies with large scenes will use green cloth as the background, and then do special effects later, so why choose green instead of other colors?

First of all, both colors are pure colors, which are not easily disturbed and influenced. Secondly, focusing on shooting is basically shooting people. Considering people's skin color, no matter they are white, black or Huang San people, they all have red and yellow information on their skin, which is not conducive to key shooting, so they don't need red and yellow. And because the eyes of Europeans and Americans are generally blue, so for the convenience of Europeans and Americans, there are more green ones, and of course there are many blue ones. China people with black hair, black eyes and yellow skin can dig blue and green, but they usually dig more green for greater contrast.

In fact, it used to be blue, and blue and green are easily recognized and removed by software. Simply put, the software recognizes the green (or blue) pixels and then removes them, leaving a transparent channel, so that you can get a character material without a background, and then you can use outer space or castles as the background.

The basic structure of film consists of three layers: red, green and blue. From the root, red, green and blue can be used as the background color and can be understood as the mother of color.

Green has its own advantages. When there are blue objects in the foreground, it has obvious adaptability when drawing the mask part. In the process of painting mask, green has obvious reflection ratio, which is easier than blue. At the same time, cameras are usually more sensitive to the green channel, and the best resolution and picture details are generally in the green channel.

Therefore, in general, high-tech blockbusters with strong special effects use green background cloth.
