Baodugu, the Gu in the story

I thought it wasn’t very high to hold the calf in my arms. Otherwise, how could I carry the calf up there? After getting on the cable car, we still couldn’t reach the top in ten minutes. A cool breeze started blowing in the valley, and the cable car swayed slightly. When I lowered my head and looked down, I saw that there was no bottom. I immediately regretted it. My friend who was sitting in the cable car in front of me turned around and asked him with his mobile phone. I took pictures, and at that moment, I could only force a smile.

It takes an hour to walk without taking the cable car. The route is more beautiful, with lush vegetation and several scenic spots where you can stop. However, no matter what, to get to the top of the mountain, you have to walk up a mountain road with nearly two hundred steps. It’s too tiring to go up all at once. Walk forty or fifty steps and take a breath. Then walk another fifty or sixty steps and take three breaths. , it’s here.

There is a flat land on Gufeng. Like the hundreds of Gus in the southern mountainous area of ??central Shandong, Baodu Gu is also a standard Dagu landform, with a flat and open top, steep peaks, and gradually gentle slopes below. Among the "Gu" groups in Yimeng, Baodu Gu is regarded as the leader of the group. It is known as the best Gu in the world. Not only is the mountain high and the Gu is huge, there are also pools and wells on the top of the Gu, and the supporting facilities are quite complete.

In the past, there were no steps to reach Gufeng. You had to climb up with a chain. It is said that this is the childhood memory of many locals. Nowadays, because the risk is too great, I can no longer climb with chains, which is a bit regretful. If the Baodugu chain has fingerprint recognition, it can authenticate a piece of modern history.

The first time I heard about Baodugu was because of the Lincheng train robbery that occurred during the Republic of China. Sun Meiyao, who was born as a scholar, gathered a fierce bandit composed of hungry people and defeated soldiers and stationed them in Baodugu. The Shandong Governor sent a large army to suppress it. Taking advantage of the difficult terrain, Sun Meiyao held on for more than half a year. When he couldn't resist any longer, he led the army. A team of cadres went down the mountain, hijacked a train, and took more than a hundred passengers on board to Baodugu as hostages to negotiate with the Beiyang government.

Among the more than 100 passengers, 19 were foreigners, including Powell, the chief writer of the Miller Review, and the American oil magnate. The sister-in-law of the old Rockefeller's son, U.S. Army officer Major Allen and Major Pinger, etc., were shocked at home and abroad. Later, after repeated negotiations and many twists and turns, the hostages were finally released on the condition of being included.

It is said that Jiang Wen has always wanted to make this incident into a movie, but failed to realize it. The inspiration for the train robberies at the beginning of "Let the Bullets Fly" probably came from this.

The robbery occurred on May 5, 1923, which will be exactly one hundred years next year. In the sixteenth year after the robbery, Baodugu ushered in a famous team-the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army.

In 1938, Lin Biao, the commander of the 115th Division, was injured. The following year, acting divisional commander Chen Guang, political commissar Luo Ronghuan, and political department director Xiao Hua led the 115th Division to Lunan and stationed in Bao. Dugu, here, fought bloody battles with the Japanese troops occupying the Jinpu Railway again and again, leaving behind many heroic legends.

Chen Guang’s name may not sound familiar to him. He is a rare warrior who has experienced hundreds of battles and been injured more than ten times. He looks quite like the founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty. Cao Shen, who "was wounded seventy times and conquered the city". During the Long March, Chen Guang was one of the direct commanders in famous battles such as breaking through the Wujiang River, forcibly crossing the Dadu River, and cleverly capturing Lazikou. During the Anti-Japanese War, Chen Guang acted as the commander of the 115th Division and directly commanded the battle across Pingxingguan. In the War of Liberation, he led the 115th Division. The division established China's largest anti-Japanese base in Shandong.

In the early days of liberation, when Chen Guang was serving as deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Region and commander of the Guangzhou Garrison Area, he was framed and placed under house arrest in a small town in Wuhan. Building. Three and a half years later, he set himself on fire and died. It was not until 1988 that he was rehabilitated and his reputation restored.

Chen Guang once risked his life to save Lin Biao's life. Later, Lin Biao also said: "If Chen Guang is not dead, at least he will be a general."

In the Baodugu Anti-Japanese Memorial Garden, Chen Guang’s life is displayed. Whether it is a personal tragedy or a historical misunderstanding, Chen Guang and the 115th Division have never been forgotten here.

In the earliest records, Baodugu was originally a place where people could avoid chaos and seek enlightenment and become immortals. "County Chronicle" records: "There is Baodu Gu in Junshan, with a wall standing thousands of feet and three hundred miles away from the sea... In the past, there were kings and elders who plowed on it, and later immortals passed away, so they got this name." However, in troubled times, Baodu Guquan was not alone. There were many bloody battles here during the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Republic of China. Today, Baodugu has regained its natural beauty. In the spring, the mountain flowers are blooming, in the summer, it is green, in the autumn, the forests are dyed, and in the winter, it is covered with snow, as if everything had never happened.

"I asked Qingshan how old I am, and Qingshan asked me when I am free?" In your spare time, go to Baodugu, which was formed four to five billion years ago. , in its view, everything in the world, including creatures like humans, are just floating clouds before its eyes.
