Information about leaves

Leaves are the photosynthetic parts of trees, which have the functions of disinfection and health care. Leaves can have different shapes, sizes, colors and textures, can be clustered or scattered everywhere. The edges of leaves can be smooth or serrated.

A complete leaf includes the following three parts: leaves-mostly wide and flat, suitable for receiving sunlight (veins with different thicknesses on leaves are called veins. ); Petiole-supporting leaves and connecting leaves and stems; Stipules-protect young leaves.

Red is due to the increase of anthocyanins, and acidic leaves will turn red. There are also "maple leaves, tallow leaves, persimmon leaves" and so on. It turns yellow because chlorophyll is destroyed, leaving only lutein. Most of them are like this, such as "laurel leaves, ginkgo leaves, poplar leaves and phoenix leaves".

4, fan: shaped like an unfolded folding fan, the top is wide and round, tapering to the base, such as Ginkgo biloba.

5, lanceolate: also known as spear-pointed, the leaf base is wide, the apex is gradually pointed, and the length is about 3-4 times the width, such as the leaves of peach, willow and bamboo. If it is lanceolate, it is called oblanceolate, such as tillering leaves.
