What is the best lighting when shooting?

Triangular lights (also known as V-shaped lights)

Triangle lamp is the most commonly used trend lamp in photo studio in recent years, which is developed from eight-character lamp.

In the past, wedding photography and graphic art photography were all illuminated by eight lights, that is, two lights illuminated the subject at an equal distance of 45 degrees, and the brightness was exactly the same. The light ratio is usually 1: 1, and the two lamps form a 90-degree illumination area at an angle of 45 degrees, which is called double lamp balance for short. When the angle exceeds 90 degrees or is less than 90 degrees, the angle changes and the light receiving surface also changes. This is not a figure of eight light. If a lamp is in front and a lamp is behind, it is not a horoscope lamp. Eight-character light can also be divided into big eight-character light and small eight-character light. This kind of lamp is mainly plane lighting, characterized by bright, bright, bright, noble and warm. It was once recognized as the most beautiful light source by portrait photographers. However, this form of light is used too much, and everyone always feels unbearable and lacks personality.

Later, some photographers introduced advertising photography into wedding portrait photography. On the premise of the original eight-character lamp, a lamp is added to the ground, which is also plane lighting. It is found that the eyes of the characters are particularly bright, crystal clear and powerful, and the shadow between the two people disappears, and the shadow of the neck disappears, and the film is cleaner and brighter, with more prominent eyes. This is triangle lighting. However, some people think that the characters photographed in this light are fatter, which is correct.

1. Triangular light belongs to the category of large plane light in character modeling. It consists of three soft lights, two of which are placed on the left and right sides of the camera, one is placed in front of the subject, and the subject is in the triangular light area, which is called triangular light for short.

2. Position of the lamp: aim the center of the soft box of the lamp (that is, the center position of the light source) at the hair position of the subject, with the lower part of the soft box facing the subject's face and the upper part facing the background behind the subject, because the center of the light emitted by the soft box is the brightest, and the four sides will be dark, usually the difference between the center and the edge is 0.8 to 1. So the brightest light source illuminates the hair and is greatly absorbed. Increase the exposure to make it appear transparent and layered. The face is highly reflective. Use a relatively weak light source to balance the light between the face and hair. The upper part of the flexible frame shines on the background to enhance the level and brightness of the background. Generally, triangular light does not use lighting, which makes the picture more natural and realistic. When the position of one lamp is fixed, the other lamp is pressed at the same height. Illuminate the theme from the other side. The application of floor lamp should not be too bright or too dark. If it is too bright, the contours of the face and neck will disappear. If it is too dark, the meaning of triangular light will be lost, and the feeling of transparency and brightness will not be produced. Therefore, the intensity of the three lamp areas is the same, and the distance between the lamp and the main body is also the same. 3. Before using the triangle light, the intensity of each lamp must be measured with a sidelight meter to achieve the same effect. Just measure the aperture value of the object irradiated by the lamp. In the process of shooting, the distance is shortened, the corresponding aperture is reduced, the distance is increased, and the aperture is raised. In this way, there is little chance of lighting error when shooting.
