Development of Guangxi Photographers Association

Guangxi Photographers' Association organizes photographers to engage in photography creation, carries out photography theory research activities, actively supports mass photography activities, and helps to improve the creative level of amateur photographers. Since its establishment, the Association has organized its members to create by stages every year, sponsored and co-organized various photography exhibitions and competitions 120 times, and held four seminars on photography theory. There are 17 members who won the bronze drum award, the highest prize for literary and artistic creation in Guangxi, awarded by the Guangxi People's Government. A member was awarded the honorary title of "Virtue and Art" by China Photographers Association. Award-winning photographs of members' works include: "Between Mother and Child" won the second prize of "Asia-Oceania Photography Competition" in June 1980, and won the gold medal of national excellent photography works; Embroidered dowry 1982 won the second prize of the second Asian Oceania Photography Competition; Breaking the door 1983 won the first prize of the fourth national excellent sports photography; Miao Family Responsibility Field 1984 won the Silver Award in the 13th National Photography Art Exhibition; Battlefield of Hating 1989 won the first prize of "National Sports Photography Exhibition"; Boiling point won the silver prize of 1997 "National Photography Art Grand Prix"; Jin Guang Qi Feng won 1997 Bronze Award in the 18th National Photographic Art Exhibition. More than 300 works have won prizes in provincial, ministerial, national and international photo exhibitions.
