Tokyo institute of technology (Japanese: とぅきょぅこぅげぃだぃがく, English: tokyo institute of technology) is called "Dongji" for short. It is the oldest photography school in Asia and one of the most authoritative schools in Japan.

Tokyo institute of technology's predecessor was 1923 Xiaoxiliu Photo Studio (now Konica Minolta), which was founded by Uemon, the seventh president of Xiaoxi Photo Studio. 1966 was renamed Tokyo Photo Studio to provide university education, and 1977 was renamed tokyo institute of technology.

Tokyo institute of technology is one of the few Japanese universities offering photography education. It has trained famous photographers, such as Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Kobayashi Qing Ji. Tokyo institute of technology has art colleges (photography, video, design, media artistic expression, animation, comics, games) and engineering colleges. The graduate school has an art research department and an engineering research department.

The courses of the Game Department are compatible with the knowledge systems in the fields of art and mathematics, and it is one of the few departments in Japan that conduct game education in universities.
