Canon ae- 1 Please help me! That little girl kowtowed!
Let's get down to business. You said the first volume was overexposed, but the dark details were badly lost. I don't know what other films you have, but let's have a look.
I don't have much experience in filming, but generally speaking, this situation may be due to the expiration of the film sensitizer, or the development problem, and the light leakage of the cassette may also be possible, but you didn't have this problem in 2 rolls and 3 rolls, so you ruled it out.
Now that we have talked about exposure, let's solve the problem of overexposure. I don't know your specific shooting parameters. AE- 1 Although there is automatic metering, it is not as intelligent as the current digital camera. The key point is to select different ISO values for metering according to the film model. First of all, look at what model your film is. After the shutter is pulled up, the ISO value can be adjusted to make the ISO value selected by the camera consistent with the film, so as to ensure correct metering. Then set the aperture of the lens to the position of "A", and you can use the shutter priority mode of AE 1. You can choose a shutter value at will and then measure the light. If the photometric result is beyond your aperture range, there will be underexposed and overexposed hints in the viewfinder. If overexposed, change the shutter speed; if underexposed, slow down.
However, if you want to use a large aperture or a fixed aperture, then adjust the aperture to the size you need. Press the shutter to measure light at this time. If the aperture value displayed by the exposure meter is smaller than yours (the smaller aperture value means the larger aperture, you should know), it means that you may be overexposed and need to speed up the shutter, and vice versa. Until the aperture value displayed by the exposure meter is consistent with your set value. (AE- 1 uses aperture value to indicate photometry, not EV value, which is not good, but it is very suitable for beginners). If the subject is bright or dark, point exposure can be compensated.
The second and third volumes are obviously shaking, that is, the shutter speed is too slow, and your hand-held ability can't reach the shutter speed. In this case, you can either open the aperture as wide as possible to increase the shutter speed, or get on a tripod.
You may already know the above, but I hope I can help you. Leave me a message if you don't understand.
PS: Next time such a question is sent to the category of "photography", many photographers will see it. If you classify it as a "mobile phone", how can a photographer help you?
