Do comics need photographers?

I need it now, especially 3D animation.

Is the demand intellectual, technical or realized by animators?

For example, this year's foreign 3D animation blockbuster "Kawara Tsutomu E" invited professional photographer roger deakins to give lectures on the lens design, adjustment of index parameters and framing art of 3D animation.

3D animation is adjusted like a real camera.

And 2D animation needs photography foundation.
